Asking top astrophysicists for "evidence" that the Earth is round is not the most rewarding task in the 21st century. But it seems that even today it is sometimes necessary to recall the most obvious, and perhaps to question one's own knowledge on the subject. Those who believe that the Earth is flat very often base this belief on Scripture. The phenomenon primarily needs to be approached from the sociological side. However, due to the growing number of followers, as well as the fact that this kind of conspiracy theory is accepted even by academically educated people, our intention was to give an adequate answer. Prof. dr. sc. Dijana Dominis Prester from the Department of Physics at the University of Rijeka, where she teaches physics and astrophysics at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level, points out that everyone who finished school and attended classes knows more than 10 pieces of evidence pointing to the spherical or spherical shape of the Earth. which is slightly flattened, due to the rotation of the Earth around its axis, and wider at the equator. Here are the most obvious ones, although many will easily find many others: 1. Existence of oceans and atmosphere on Earth - if the Earth were flat, the atmosphere, like the oceans over the edges, would "leak" into space. 8. Existence of different time zones, and change of day and night. 9. The starry sky changes during the night, and it looks different when we travel to another latitude.
