Belgium (Dutch: België; French: Belgique; German: Belgien), officially the Kingdom of Belgium (Dutch: Koninkrijk België; French: Royaume de Belgique; German: Königreich Belgien), is a country in Western Europe. It covers an area of 30,528 km2 and has a population of just over eleven million. It borders the Netherlands to the north, Germany to the east, Luxembourg to the southeast and France to the south. To the west it has access to the North Sea.
