The world population is almost 8 billion. China and India alone have more than 1 billion population each. In order to feed 8 billion people on earth, more food needs to be produced. That’s the reason why food businesses, producers (farmers), and the seller (wholesaler, supplier, retailer), are never-failing businesses.

The farming business is very profitable

The best thing about farming is you can start without any experience, without specialized skills. You don’t even need a lot of investment.

I do not know how it goes in other countries; however, in my home country, more than 80 percent of people are engaged in farming. In fact, agriculture heavily contributes to National Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and it is the number one source of revenue generation. Farming in our home country has always been a family-based business. Someone is in the farming business because his parents were farmers and his parents became farmers because their parents were farmers. Therefore, it is common to see a student toiling in the land when he is not at school. During the rice planting season, the schools are shut down for 30 days, so that the students can help their parents in the rice field.

For low-income families in my home country, farming is the only business that can help them become rich.

Integrated Farming:  A New Way to Make Money From Farming Business

Until recently, it was believed that farming can be done only in the rural areas where there are farmlands. But in the last 10-20 years, there has been a lot of invention in farming techniques, which have made it possible to farm even in the urban areas where land is scarce.

Integrated farming is one such technique that has made it possible to make a lot of profits from small investments.

What exactly is integrated farming?

Here are some examples of integrated farming:

You have a chicken coop and you also grow vegetables. You use chicken poop to fertilize your vegetables. You save a lot of money on fertilizer.

You raise cows. You use cow manure to feed your biogas plant and you get free gas for your kitchen.

You build a fish pond and above the pond, you build a chicken coop. Your fishes will feed on chicken poop.

How to Farm Quail and Make Money

Humans have been farming quails for 10 thousand years for meat and eggs. Quails are one of the easiest birds to breed. Unlike chickens, quails have strong immunity and do not get sick easily. They also cost less to produce. That’s why they are more profitable than chicken. Quail meat and eggs are considered good for people with diabetes, hypertension, and even cholesterol.

If you want to try quail farming, here are some of the tips you should consider.

Quail farming is suitable even in urban areas.

You can farm quail in your roof terrace by building small cages.

You can prepare quail feed yourself by making granules from grains like rice, corn, soybeans, etc.

Quails are prolific birds, they give eggs many times a year.

You can sell quail eggs or even quail meat.

Turkey Vs. Chicken: Which One is More Profitable to Farm?

Turkey and chicken, both are popular birds for meat and eggs. Probably there is no country in the world where turkey and chicken are not commercially farmed. If you are in the farming profession or if you are based in rural areas, you might have seen people farming turkey or chicken, or perhaps you are considering farming chicken or turkey, or maybe you are already farming chicken and turkey.

In my country, turkey farming is a recent phenomenon; turkeys are being commercially farmed only in the past 10 years; however, chicken farming is very popular. I even have a lot of relatives who are into chicken farming.

Turkey meat fetches a better price compared to chicken meat, therefore, a lot of people are interested in turkey farming. However, turkey consumes more resources compared to chicken farming.

Yes, sure. It's sad how people without information think farming is a small man's business.
