How to Make Money as a Student
If you are a student, you should focus on studying and getting good grades so that you will be the most eligible candidate in the job market. However, if money making is your compulsion because you have to raise money to pay for your education or pay for the food or boarding, here are a few easy ideas you can try.
Make Money By Using Canva and Etsy
Go to Canava and create digital products such as T-shirt design, social media templates, printables, etc. Canva is free and does not require your graphic designing skills. Once you have created digital products, go to Etsy and list your products for sale. You can now start selling digital products and make money online.
Sell on eBay
I think selling online is better, the student can promote the products to his/her peers and earn by selling online. Selling old items via eBay is the best way for students to make money online. Students can sell old textbooks, notes, even dissertations and term papers. You don't need money to sell. I don't remember the name, but there is even a specific site where you can sell such items.
Affiliate Marketing
Since it does not cost money to do affiliate marketing, a lot of people believe that affiliate marketing is the best way to generate income while staying at home or if you are a student However, selling affiliate products is really difficult. The only way students can make money through affiliate marketing is by reaching friends and family to buy products through their affiliate links.
Freelancing
Some people recommend freelancing for students. But I don't recommend freelancing for students. First of all, you need professional skills, which is not possible for a student because he/she is already busy with his/her school/college, secondly, freelancing is a competitive niche. Learning vocational skills is good but you still have to focus on education. However, if you have managed to learn vocational skills, and if you are good, you can try Fiverr, Upwork, 99Designs, etc.
Tips for Students Who Want to Work and Make Money
Don’t Engage in Risky Business
Students mean they do not have an income source and they are depended on their parents for paying bills. If you are still dependent on other people for paying bills how can you try something like a forex that is very risky? You cannot use the money to trade forex which you should be using to pay your college fees, right?
Start Saving Money
When I was a student, I used to save 5 percent of the money I received as allowances from my parents. During my 4 years of college, I managed to save a good amount. I used that money to enroll in a vocational course without putting an extra burden on my parents.
Do Something That Does Not require Investment
If you are a student, it means you do not have the funds to start a business. You might save some money from the allowance you receive from your parents but that might not be enough for you to start a business. The best option is to do something that does not need funding, for example, sell your notes.
Never Fall for Get Rich Quickly
There is nothing that can make you rich quickly. The only way to become rich quickly is to inherit wealth from your parents. If your parents are not rich, you don't get rich.
Focus on Education
To be frank, money-making should not be on the cards for students. Students should be always focused on education, excelling in school and college, getting good grades. If you graduate from college and university with good grades, your chances of getting a job greatly increase. However, if you need money because you want to pay for tuition fees or other bills, you should be looking for a part-time job (part-time because you are a student and you still need time to study). A better approach would be working online (because you will save time to go to the workplace) and you will also have working flexibility.
