Can You Still Make Money as a Blogger?

I make money from my blog in various ways. I have been blogging for more than 2 years and I earn from Adsense, Infolinks, and amazon ads (affiliate marketing). I also do sponsor posts and sell ad space on my website. I don't earn a lot of money from my blog but I do make money.  In my experience, you can make money from your blog but it is very difficult to make a lot of money from your blogs. Earning from affiliate marketing is also not very easy as you think.

How to Launch Your First Blog

Generally speaking, there are two types of free websites that you can create for blogging purposes, one, you use free domains like dot tk, dot ml, dot cf, etc, (and also free hosting from 000webhost, etc.); two, you use free website builders and free blogging platforms like blogspot, weebly, wordpress, wix etc. You can rank your website no matter what type of free website you have.

I have two blogs and I have been running blogs for two years. I am going to share tips to launch your first blog (self-hosted blog) based on my experience and knowledge.

Find a proper niche: Niche s very important, your niche will determine traffic and revenue. You can choose a niche that you are passionate about and have knowledge of or choose a niche that you think has the potential to make money. 

Write content: Don't attempt to write articles yourself unless you are an expert. In order to succeed with blogging, you should not only be very good at writing but also good at SEO. IF you are a first-time blogger, it is very likely that you are not a good writer or SEO expert. Hire a pro and let him create SEO content. The idea is to have the best content on your site so that your site is easily approved by Google Adsense and also gets ranked on google search quickly. 

Buy a domain and hosting: Buy a domain that matches your chosen niche, make sure to use the primary keyword on the domain. 

Build website: Install wordpress, which is the best blogging system. Publish articles, and important website pages (about contact, privacy policy)

Want to Make Money From Blog: Understand Google

As a blogger, you need to befriend Google because you will be using a lot of Google products. Google has its own blogging platform called blogspot. You can create a free blog on blogspot, you can even monetize your free Google blog. Google also has a free blog hosting service called blogger. You can use your custom domain with blogger to create a free hosted website (you need a domain but you don’t need hosting). This process is called domain mapping. Other Google products very necessary for bloggers are Google Analytics, Google Keyword Tool, Google Adsense, etc. You need to befriend Google. However, just one slap from Google (during the update) and you can lose your search engine rank and your entire search traffic can become zero. Just a minor mistake and you can lose your Google Adsense account. Despite everything, blogging can still become a profitable career. When you narrow down your niche, you will find less competition.
