With a "Hi" it all started With a "Hey" a conversation was initiated Smiles were charming and radiating Laughs were heart-tickling and warming The beginning of an unknown love story began She hit that emotional button of yours Click! click! you were drawn in She had you where she wanted you You fell at her mercy All in the name of love She constantly heaped her problems on you You carried it with all pleasure Even when you were dying inside You chose to die with her problems Not minding the consequences You were so ready to do anything Just for her pleasing Even if it meant to fight against God and His angels You believed you would easily win Because you loved her You were her source of happiness Her source of strength and courage Through her dark times, you were the light Her consolation from God in the time of distress All these made you stay You fell for her sweet-tongue and accolades Her praises encouraged you to do more They made you wanna pull down mountains All in the name of love But all were lies and deceits of a lustful scheme. She gave you momentary joy and happiness Other times it was neglect and trouble She made sure you were kept humble and defeated Even when she was wrong,she blamed you A mistress of emotional blackmail she was She wanted to control everything about you She wanted to have you at her beck and call To do her every bidding without omission Even at your own expense All she wanted was her own selfish desires But how could you be so blind and obstinate? How could you have not known? That this was going nowhere? That the road leads to perdition? That this kinda thing will surely end in sorrows? How could you not have seen those times? When your voice was irritating rather than soothing Your words spiteful rather than calming When she only tolerated you other than loving you When she hinted on being tired of you I guess you were still drowning in the misery of blind love When she secretly pulled out to leave While you stayed to keep the love afloat Still believing in a love that was long gone A sinful love in the eyes of the Lord But hey Man! don't be disheartened! Don't be heartbroken in tears Be brave,be strong and move on Because that's one of the challenges of love The reason it's complicated and cruel
