Day Nine; I finally lost the fight.

I don't know if you noticed but I haven't written anything in days now. I tried so hard to come in with something but I just couldn't.

As I mentioned in my previous article some days ago, I was down with malaria and got drugs which I supposedly took once and even this once was not successful cos I ended up vomiting it all out.

Thing is taking drugs for me is like the worst thing ever. I have to do a lot of motivation to even swallow one pill and it gets draining over time. So I decided to believe God for my healing and stopped taking my drugs.

Well, unfortunately for me it has turned out that my belief was not strong enough as I ended up fully breaking down yesterday. I tried to fight and resist it but I guess my tolerance threshold has been defeated, now I have an intruder to deal with and my last weapon and resort seem to be the same drugs I've been avoiding so much.

I've been swallowing those bitter pills twice daily since yesterday and I even took my evening dose not quite long and I can categorically tell you that this experience is draining my mind of every joy as it is messing with my taste buds.

It's sad that I've lost this war. I thought I had already bagged this victory but things took a somewhat unexpected u-turn and here I am.

Well someone else seem to have thought that they had a victory and met the same fate as me today although theirs was not drugs but one hell of a beating. As I passed by a certain street, I saw people gather around a guy who apparently had been beaten by the angry mob because he attempted to abduct a child. Yes, you heard me!

Its the audacity for me really. He drove his bike into a random neighborhood to carry someone's child and use it for whatever he intended to do which you and I know can't be good. What I found surprising was that his attempt was in broad day light. No fear, no shame, no nothing!

I do not know the full story but I'm glad he was caught because another innocent child would have been lost by now and the parents wailing in agony while someone else might be getting rich or planning to be. Although he was beaten up, I think he should have gotten more. I know you may not agree with this but I do, he deserves it and more.

It's funny how people know evil and yet do it. How does someone decide to go out and kidnap another human? The thought of this is from the devil himself and it already speaks volumes of how far gone such person is.

I couldn't help but think that no one is really safe. If they can use bike, it means the buses, cars and planes are not any safer. If you're religious, this is the time to trust whatever God you're serving, and if you trust in other things like security, this is the time to be more alert because one guy was caught today doesn't mean another won't succeed tomorrow.

Author's Epilogue

I couldn't help but feel sad for how unsafe and vulnerable we all are. It's just heart quenching. No wonder parents are so protective of their children, whether grown or young because nobody wants to be a victim of this circumstance. God help us all!

Well, I didn't talk about the farm today cos I was home and couldn't go..let's home tomorrow is better.
