'Anybody' is used in interrogative sentences, while 'not anybody' is used in negative sentences. We cannot use 'nobody' because of the double negation which is impossible in English. Chris moved from parents when he was 18. He has lived by ________  since that time. he his himself him By himself' means 'alone'. We cannot use any other form of a pronoun in this phrase.
