Yellow cururu toad I was watering my plants this morning when out of the blue i heard a noise. Looking under, I saw this cururu toad. I was scared coz it was huge. This kind of frog has a stout body, strong cephalic crests and large parotoid glands on the head and blunt thorny warts on the skin. They are called sit and wait predators. Male cururu usually are melodious tremolo for they call and create sound at night in search for mates. Their habitat are ponds, lake and rivers where they can freely deposit their eggs and babies.
