While cleaning and disinfecting the table outside the office this morning, I saw this creature crawling. At first I thought it was an ant eating something.But when I focus my phone's camera, i was amazed by its mouth. It was long like scissors. Hahaha My son told me that this is an ant-mimicking jumping spider. Its look and behavior is so much like that of an ant. Isn't it amazing?
Glad i cross this pathway this morning to have my morning walk. It was a 38 steps up just enough to keep my heart pumping. While doing so, I noticed this creature resting on the handrail. X marks the spot! I am giving this much thought, why does spider web has an X mark? Does it have to do in changing their personality? Took the first pic last Sunday as I was watering my plant and the next pic was taken today during lunch. Can you identify the difference? In 3 days time the X mark gone and the spider changed its color from brownish to dark brown or black. I was really amazed! Can anyone tell why?

Baby spiders on the go Everyday I found different insects and bugs on my plants. Is it because of the rainy season? Well, I don't know really. These are baby spiders of different species. They are playful and full of life, jumping from one leaf to another. Adventurous . Carefree. They are just like the children we always see on the street playing.
My love in photography has increased tremendously over the last two months. Before my gallery has fewer pictures but now it is fully loaded. All thanks to this platform. Do you know that grasshopper means good luck and happiness in Chinese culture? This is a Chinese grasshopper. It can easily identified because of its long head. Its legs lacks stridulatory organ making him noiseless when moving. I did catch him and let it stay in my palm and look he just posed for me. Its a really great experience.
After 3 weeks of nonstop heavy wind from southwest monsoon, the trees, plants and shrubs have withered its leaves. It has affected mostly the southern part of our island. I have been fascinated with insect photography lately. Since it is rainy season, plenty of them come out just to enjoy the good weather or sorroundings. I photographed this asparagus beetle yesterday on my neighbors garden while attending her husband's birthday. It was pink in color with black spots while its body is yellow-orange. Meet our visitor tonight! This is a rhinoceros or ground beetle. They look a bit scary but they don't harm humans. (I was hesitant to touch it though,lol). They produces a hissing or buzzing sound when pursued and disturbed by rubbing its abdomen with their wing covers together forcing air out to make a sound. Flesh Fly I spotted this flesh fly this morning. It is named flesh coz they usually deposit their eggs and maggots on the decaying or rotten flesh of animals and insects. While walking to the office thirty minutes ago (to attend monthly meeting), I heard a very unique bird chirp. A chirp that I know scares little chicks and this sound belongs to a black crow. Crows have sharp red eyes. They feed mostly on ripe fruits. It was far from me so I can't focus my phone camera and have a good click.

Hospital phobia My neighbor had a cough for almost 2 weeks now and he was advised to have medical check up at the hospital coz he lose weight. However he refuse to see a doctor. You know why? Coz he is afraid to have a rapid test....thinking he would be covid positive.

Fit Insect/bug Have you seen an insect doing exercise and getting fit? I saw this pink leaf-footed bug doing his exercise by swinging his entire body back and forth. After the downpour yesterday, I randomly took shots on some water droplets. And then upon checking I discovered this housefly taking refuge under the papaya leaf to avoid the rain. I brought EZ at the beach yesterday. He really loved walking and running so was I. We bonded together for an hour or so. When it was nearing sunset he just plopped down at the sand near me and stare at the sun settling down. He looked so absorbed that I don't hesitate to take a snap. This was the moment I wanted to treasure with him. He is not just my pet but also my buddy and my friend. Love him much!
I am just so amazed how clouds differ during each sunset. Each day it offers different colors, volumes and formations. For me, these sunset clouds resembled like a fighter plane as it reflected on the very calm seawater. How about you, how do you find it?
Another happy day together at the beach. I was having a click of the boats nearby the shore when EZ got in the way suddenly right on time I touched the pic button on my phone. And hola, the outcome was just great . The second pic was when he sits and kept wagging his tail while he looked around. One thing I love about EZ is his tail, so soft and fluffy.
