When we will ever learn?

Good evening fellow dreamers of read cash universe 👋 How's your Easter Sunday? We must be grateful because Jesus has risen again. He sacrifice for us is never forgotten right ? So don't waste that chance, instead make valuable things that can contribute to someone and also to something that makes you happy.

These past few days, the protest of the scientists went viral because of the message that they want to impost to us. According to them, we have only 3-5 years to save Mother Earth. It doesn't mean that it is the end of the world but we can experiencing more disastrous events if we didn't move. But instead of listening to them, they got arrested. Honestly, I don't get the idea of arresting them since they doing it in the most peaceful way and they only want to warn us. So because of that, the #LettheEarthBreathe went trend on all the social media platforms. How ironic that we always believe in science but those people didn't believe on the scientists. When they give that statement, basically it means that the situation is something serious. And even they didn't explain it further, we can actually experiencing it first hand. The weather here in our country is not like before, it's extremely hot and sometimes even it supposed to be summer, there still a big typhoon who affects to our fellowmen. It's so sad that it seems that the authority ignores all of this warning. Sometimes I even think if they really don't care to our environment and they only prioritize having power and money. It so sad that they seems to think only themselves without considering most of the people. Self gain always win.

When we will ever learn?

When the last tree has died,

When the last drop of water in a river can only seen?

When we don't have clean water to drink?

When we don't have any foods to eat.

When there's a lot of people died in front of you

Or maybe when we can't breathe anymore.

As a common citizen, we can also did our part but unfortunately it's limited. So the authority needs to have some actions regarding with it. Honestly, I have this thought in my mind since I watch the videos of that scientist protesting. There's so many what ifs playing around. What if the government pass the law that required a company/corporation to have E-program( Environmental) to help our Mother Earth. Maybe it's tree planting or clean up drive. I know it's a common thing right but even it's easy to do, no one is willing to do it because there's no money/profit gain from it. But the reality is, doing that program can gain you a lot and you can help others somehow. Another what if I had in my mind is , "Instead of doing a campaign rally on different provinces, what if aspiring candidate held a tree planting activities or something that can help our environment". Imagine if they can accumulate 50K individuals during campaign rally, I believe that they can also did this right? It could be great contribution for us. If they truly care to us and to our environment, I guess it is the right time to act. But I guess that it will just remain on my minds because no one can hear me. No one doesn't even care, that's the reality.

Maybe there's a lot who shared awareness and joined to that trend hashtag but the real thing is, " Did you really take an action to help or are you just still the same?" Yes, maybe you shared the information but within you, you didn't do anything. You know how to voice out but you didn't know how to perform it out. I hope that I was wrong. I hope that each of us really do something to help our environment. We should not waste the time and also think the future of our little siblings, our kids and next generation. How they can witnessed the beauty of outside world if just now, it's gradually destroyed.

As a common citizen, we can do small steps to help our environment somehow. These are some of that things.

1.Use Ecosia and Oceanhero

I guess that you already heard this two. Instead of using other search engines use Ecosia because 80% of it's profit will be use in reforestation. Meaning to say in every 45 searchers we've made, they will plant a tree. On the other hand, Oceanhero is also a search engine but the good thing about it is help us to save ocean from plastic pollution. And every 5 searches you do, you can recover one plastic bottle.

2.Use eco-bags instead of Plastic

It so simply right? Instead of using plastic when we go shopping, use eco bag because it's more eco friendly and also its more long lasting than the first option. Actually, plastic takes years before it degrade in landfill and as a result, it contaminates and pollute the environment. So avoid using things made of plastic.

3.Save Water & Electricity

Don't waste any drop of water because that drop really matters. Instead of using shower, it is advisable to use dipper and bucket. The water that you use when you washed the clothes can also be used in cleaning the bathroom or watering plants. On the other hand, we should also use the electricity wisely, unplug unnecessary things that we didn't used. If we can, limit our screen time to use gadgets so we can also avoid charging our gadgets for numerous times.

4.Plant Trees

This is one of the best and easy way to help our Mother Earth. But it seems so difficult to do especially on those people who live in the City. But if you have some space that can plant a tree, why not? I read an article about a bill that requiring a graduating student to plant at least 10 trees. Actually, I experience it during our HS days whereas we are required to plant at least 2 trees in our baranggay. I think this is one of the better option if ever. Planting trees is not a big deal right especially if we know that we could help to preserve our environment somehow.

When we will ever learn? I hope that now, we able to learn the message of Mother nature. That she already needs our help and now is the right time to act. I hope that we not only do this because it is trend now, we should do this everyday since now. A little effort fr each of us can convert to a change. Don't forget to take care our Mother Earth because as they said, " There's no Planet B" so we must do something to save it. Let's do this not only for our personal gain but most especially for the future if our next generation. Let them feel the environment that they deserve.
