Don't say something to someone if you know that it can insult or harm them. Don't you ever say that they are too sensitive if they are get offended on your joke. Always put yourself on their situation, do you think if you are on their position ,you will be happy or offended also? Every emotions are valid. We have different level of sensitivity so choose your jokes and used of words to prevent misunderstanding.
