One of the local vegetables that we eat here in the Philippines is the Pako or fiddlehead. It can be cooked as adobo, ginataan and as Pako salad. It is rich in fiber, iron and Vitamin A. I remember before when I am in province, my mama always cooked this because there is a lot of this near in a river or streams. This is one of the foods that I missed to eat because I can't found Pako here in the City. I hope that I can eat this again. Photo not mine
