I did an experiment before maybe I used a VPN to be able to access Coinbase through a browser but I found a new, faster way without a VPN, namely setting up Private DNS. And this can't be done by all smartphones, at least your Android version must be 9 or above and for Xiaomi you have to install an application to show hidden settings.

We should not use VPN more. We should find another ways as you. My mobile remains on "Flight mode ". After removing flight mood, my mobile phone runs good and fast
Flight mode can cut off all access, so the battery is more efficient. When in the air maybe we can use flight mode but if we are on the ground we need this communication tool to turn on.
I don't know that flight mood can decrease battery. But it's better than VPN.i use for few seconds.
There is a certain code even though in flight mode the battery continues to drain but I forget how to do it. Maybe for old phone it never works, for new phone they have a lot capacity so consume battery is not Will drain fast.
Since my phone has a 6000mAh battery it doesn't really affect what mode I use.
My phone has 4500MAh. But, flight mood is not affecting. I am using Vivo S1 model for one year
If your battery is more than 4000mAh of course it has no effect, because flight mode only turns off the functions of the SIM Card, WI-FI, Bluetooth, the rest is still running.
