The completion of my table from waste materials

The quality of this table is such that it may serve for many years to come

The ability to solve problems is one of the reasons why we’re human beings. In my last article, I told you how I became in need of a table in my house, and I didn’t have money to spend buying a table from a vendor, and how I decided to build a table from waste materials. I showed you the process of making this table from the beginning which you can still read from link below. https://read.cash/@Maxdevalue.BCH/nothing-should-be-a-waste-baf09ad5

And I promised to write another article where I’ll show my readers the finished product and some processes I took in making this strong and portable table from waste materials.

Please note that this article has come with lots of pictures, to me it’s important that I show those pictures to help others who my want to do such things for themselves someday. I hope you’ll enjoy those original pictures and explanation that follows.

In forming the table, I first did a sketch ✍️ which helped to list things that I needed to form the table. Remember that nothing used in assembling this portable was bought; everything was picked from waste and from replaced parts from my vehicle and my water pumping machine.

The first thing that I constructed was the hanger or a rack underneath the table where I can place books 📚, cups etc. so I went on to cut some pan out from the main pan which was replaced from my truck.

The pan before cutting out both sides

The picture above shows the pan as it was removed from my vehicle; though I’ve done some work on it already. I divided this pan into 3 segments; the center which is bigger and another 2 smaller equal portions from both sides.

I used the center pan on the top of the table, and the two small sides were merged to form a hanger/rack underneath the table.

The small parts were merged with bolts and nuts 🔩

I turned one opposite another to form a beautiful outlook which also made them for a single unit. I used bolts and nuts 🔩 to fasten them together.

I used my electric filing machine to trim and to remove some areas.

Did you know that the filing machine that you’re seeing on motion was powered by a clean energy source? We have electricity problems in my region so I installed a solar energy system in my house which was powered by Bitcoin Cash. You want to read more about it? Okay, if you have time, you may read about my Bitcoin Cash powered solar energy system which has served not just my family but my neighbors for several months now. Use the link below. https://read.cash/@Maxdevalue.BCH/bitcoin-cash-is-powering-solar-energy-system-in-west-africa-9d2f861c

So after trimming the materials to form a pattern needed, I progressed to forming the legs that supports the underneath hanger.

The legs was from aluminum profile Offcuts

Isn’t amazing that Offcuts that are not useable anymore became very useful in assembling this portable table? Such is life; anything could be useful if only we can create opportunity for such thing to be utilized. These aluminum offcuts has stayed at my backyard for several years, but I’m super glad that they’re becoming useful again.

Wow, the legs are fixed and stable.

As you can see from the picture above, the legs has been attached to the hanger underneath the table; giving it a room to accommodate more stuff. The next that i did was to install the top cover on the frame.

The last stage in assembling the table from waste materials

I finally installed the top cover of the table using electric drilling machine which helped me to drill holes 🕳 where I inserted bolts and nuts 🔩 that tightened the top cover on the frame.

Now that my table is ready, the last thing I did was to wash and disinfect the table. I wanted to use this table without buying any extra material. So I decided to use it at is for now without spraying it. I do not want to spend money on buying some oil paints for the table; therefore I tried giving it a thorough washing which helped to wipe out the entire dust and dirt on the pan.

Finished product

Now, my table has been taken to my living room, and I’ve started making use of it. This article was written with my Pc on the table, and I was able to place other things underneath the table which were placed on the rack that I made for the table.

My table turned out durable and very strong. The way I’m seeing it, this table could stay long enough that my unborn grandchildren may meet it and remember their grandfather for it.

In conclusion:

Be conscious of your surroundings and your environment. Even that your neighbor could become a great help to you someday; therefore, do not neglect those insignificant things around you. Learn how to create opportunities, learn how to invest on humanity. Those things you feel less important to you might become huge investments in people’s lives if given to them.

Thanks for taking your precious time going through this article.

One of the things that I’m happy doing in Africa is helping my fellow youths and old people as well; I’m building a community of entrepreneurs that can leverage on the power of permissionless money (Bitcoin Cash) in their businesses.

In my next article, maybe we can talk more on that; I mean on the steps that I’m taking in my organizational work in West Africa.

Stay safe, and try and make this world better for everyone through good choices and right actions.
