I've been watching Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's Spiderman for the past couple of weeks and I noticed that more than the stories, they all have different approaches to storytelling and characterization. Tobey's the mature version, with issues focused on being an adult while keeping tabs on being a hero. Mary Jane is just another priority to juggle. Garfield's issue is centered on Gwen Stacy, her love interest. His hero life seems to revolve around her. In comparison with Tom Holland's, well he's a high schooler version, the comic accurate version. But unlike the first two, he is not the only hero in his movie. He seems to always work under the shadow of other characters - Iron Man, Dr. Strange. He shares the spotlight with someone. Where in fact he can solo his enemies with his abilities, right? Ayt, time to hit the sack!
