Men's Worst Nightmares Hello everyone! It's a special day today 2-22-2222. They say the more 2 you see the luckiest the day is. Well, I don't believe it Hahaha if you lay on your bed the whole day nothing will happen! Maybe most readers are female here in #read.cash, this are some experiences and situations that we never wish to happen. You may think men can be indestructible, brave, and strong but deep inside we are also afraid of something. Unskilled Barbers Well, it just recently happens to me this week. I decided to go to a new barbershop. I want a fade cut on the side of my head and cut only a small portion of my hair above. I have a huge forehead like mega mind Hahaha and I want to cover it. I didn't notice that the barber is working on top of my head because I'm updating some inventory forms on my phone from my previous workplace. For heaven's sake! after my cut I did look like an Egg. My huge head is now exposed with a wide forehead that looks like NAIA terminal three airport! The barbers wanted me to stand but I still process what happened. I just stare in the mirror for almost a minute deciding how will I end my life or the barber's life. It is okay to burn the shop? Nah just kidding Hahahaha I'm just disappointed and I don't know why my introverted self just came out that day. I just say "okay okay" after the cut. Well, I cannot glue every piece of my hair though. My dream perm curl hair lets meet after 4 months of being an egg. Maybe some of you may find this overacting but I'm telling you every man has their preferred shop and barbers since they are young. In my case, since I'm in the city, I can't travel to our province to have just a cut Ahahaha. Our hair is like crowns of confidence. If we do our hair and we got the result we want it feels like it adds more handsomeness HAHAHA Scratched Ding Dongs First of all, I didn't experience this one but I read about a survey about Ding dongs being scratched while shaving HAHAHA it's kinda funny that your balls got scratched but it's more painful I think than having a wound on every part of our body. Ding dongs are where the strength of every men located. Yes you've read it right Hahahaha a scratch ding dong can weaken a man for days. I know you've been watching some of the defense tutorials and hitting ding dongs is always a part of the training HAHAHA When you own a ding dong soon be careful because in this dig dong we hold the future generations HAHAHAHAHA Losing Special People This is the third nightmare I can think of. Even the worst. We can give our 100% to everyone we loved and cared for. We cant eat a meal for a day to give to our siblings or child. Like what my father did. We are happy when everyone is happy. We can work 24/7 to buy your dream house, phone, jewelry just don't go away or die. Men can't stand being alone. We also want cuddles and be part of something. We also want comfort, whatever may happen we will not let that "comfort" take away. *Those are the three nightmares we are afraid of. Please do talk to your brother, father, or friends even if they wanted to talk. This will ease some crazy thoughts going in their heads. That would be for today's article! If you are a man reading this article, please share some of your "nightmares too" I can make a part two of this HAHAHAHA Godbless everyone and stay safe!* Photos credit to unsplash and crushpixel stock photos -MarCosis

When the god of Moon Meets the god of Death *His tanned skin-like copper reflects his glowing appearance. The light that surrounds his face calms once rage. Rays doesn’t hurt unlike the sun that burns every eye who dares to stare. His dimmed light is soft and cold. White long hair flows like a clear river. The golden crown echoed authority. The tattoos of the moon on his arms and shoulder determine him as the one who rules the night. The god of moon, Libulan.* Lidagat the goddess of the sea married to Lihangin the god of wind. This is the reason why when we go the beaches the breeze of the wind dances with the waves of the ocean. Lidagat give birth to four deities.  Liadlao the god of the sun. His original body form is made of gold. Likalibutan, the god of earth. He was strong and a challenger. His body is made of rock. Lisuga, the goddess of stars. She was kind and artistic. Her body is made with glittering silver. Lastly, Libulan the god of moon. Among the other deities, he was shy and gentle. His brothers have a strong muscular appearance, he was more slender. Libulan speaks well mannered. He often expresses his emotions ending up being alone. One night as Libulan dances above the sky in the cold night, the god of death Sidapa, who is residing at the top of Mt. Madjaas is watching him. Many nights as he continue to watch Libulan above the sky, he observed that many other gods are interested in Libulan. Sidapa felt jealous. He couldn’t explain the sudden explosion of emotion inside of him. Every time he watches Libulan he felt joy and comfort and when he sees other gods he wanted to spread catastrophe. Sidapa decided that night to bring birds to give melody to the field, spread flowers to bloom above the sky and fireflies to lead libulan to him. Libulan then came down from the sky and meet Sidapa. They were both too stunned to speak. Libulan saw Sidapa with dark skin, a horn and a menacing aura that can easily fled life. Sidapa notice that Libulan may be afraid of his physical appearance he then bring gifts to offer to Libulan. Sidapa makes everything to make Libulan happy and comfortable. Libulan then descends often from heaven to see the death god. Out of confusion the death god ask him to officially court and be with him. The cold nights doesn’t affect Libulan as he was filled with warm hug from Sidapa, he was no longer alone and agreed to be with Sidapa forever. Death found his light through the reflection of the moon. The darkness wasn’t invaded by the light but it emerges with the dim. The moon then experience to express and show love, it no longer hides. Far from the heaven moon become soft as the light coming from moon guided many people in earth. Sometimes, the saddest part of the people’s life happened in night because death is always clings on the moon. As the gods remain in the Mt. Madjaas, a misfortune took place and shocked the world. Sidapa woke up one night and Libulan was missing. No clue where He is. Sidapa look over the place. Give orders to his minions to find his light and love. He then stood realized something. Some god was also obsessed to Libulan. A diety from the ocean that can descend through the heaven. It has scales all over the body. It can transform into the body of dragon-snake like figure. Sidapas shout awakens the fairies of the land and sea. Creatures from the land including humans tremble in fear. They started to use Gongs to make sound. There is only one diety that Sidapa is thinking. The Bakunawa… Photo credit to littlepersomonn in Tumblr.com Pin on Darna in Pinterest *Thank you everyone for reading. As a promise, I already published the first article about some of the untold folklores and stories in the Philippines. Please be reminded that the last part comes from me. Please comment down if you want to know if Libulan is still alive HAHAHA the story of libulan and sidapa is still on debate because some claims are that this story is a modern myth and others say that it was an original story because homosexuality is believed to be taboo in today generation that’s why this story was forgotten. Anyway, let’s just enjoy the richness of our literature. What can you say about today’s article? Comment down below. God bless us all* MarCosis

Philippines Mythology: god and goddess If you are in love with greek or Roman mythology, you may also like the Philippines Mythology which is full of magic and adventures. Before I published some of their stories I would like to introduce some gods and goddesses that can capture your heart. BATHALA He was the supreme creator of heaven and earth. Bathala is often called by the ancient Tagalog as Maykapal or Abba. His existence is still unknown, unlike other goddess. Bathala is located in the highest realm of heaven. People often give Bathala offerings that make Him happy and offer shelter to His people. Suddenly the people become dependent on Him and the expression "Bahala na" is created (whatever may happen). The expression shows the recklessness of action and poor decisions making. Because of this attitude Bathala bestowed punishment by striking lightning at them or the field. When the Spaniards arrived He was then referred to Panginoon. APOLAKI According to the Tagalog and Pangasinan people, He was the god of sun and war. The son of creator Bathala and a human with a sister named Mayari(Goddess of Moon). Problem arise when Bathala was asleep they fought for who will lead the earth. Because of the furious power of Apolaki, He blinded his sister resulting in dimming the light of Mayari. Apolaki saw the situation of his sister and felt sorry for what happened. It was then decided that they both rule the earth. During morning Apolaki shows full bright light with his eyes wide open while at night a cool dimmed light because of blinded Mayari. MAYARI As mentioned above she was the goddess and ruler of the earth during the night. She was blinded by her brother as mentioned above. She becomes the epitome of strength of the women and wields a strong mind in a strategic battle. TALA According to history, she was the sister of Mayari. She was assigned to paint the sky with stars during the feast in heaven by Bathala. In other versions of the stories Tala is the daughter of Mayari and they fill the night with glittering stars. They were separated with Her father the goddess of the sun because mayari believed that Her daughters cannot endure the heat of the sun. AMIHAN Amihan is a genderless deity that is the form of bird. Do you remember the story of malakas and maganda? Amihan saved them by cracking the bamboo into halves. It believes that amihan is one of the three creatures that started the world. The diety oftens show as a Golden Eagle. AMAN SINAYA She was the goddess of the ocean and protects the fishermen. Aman Sinaya doesn't have a good relation with Bathala. She often sends hurricanes to heaven. As a sign of forgiveness and friendship Bathala planted bamboo on the seafloor. Then, our first ancestor appears in the form of man named malakas(strong) and maganda(beautiful) as a woman. Aman Sinaya then gives shelter to them. MAPULON He manipulates whether to nourish the land and enrich the medicinal plants to give to the people who are sick. He has an eternal love to lakapati the goddess of health. Their love story is the basis of "Ligawan" as he waited for a long time to have the sweet yes of Lakapati. He was also known as the kindest diety in Tagalog mythology. IDINAYALE She was the goddess of good deeds and labor. She was often referred to as the goddess of labor. She gives guidance to the people to make them successful in their field of work. She was one of the servant of the sky that serves Bathala. This god and goddess are worshipped before 400BC and the Philippines was not colonized by the Spaniards. Imagine if we are not being influenced by other countries. Did we still worship this many goddesses? Can we have rich literature like Greece? Demon Slayer Anime: Reflecting Societies Image “*No matter how many people you may lose, you have no choice but to go on living- No matter how devastating the blows, maybe.” – Tanjiro* The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba the Movie: Mugen train brings Japan the top 4 highest-grossing films in the Global Box Office. It was created by Koyoharu Gotogue as a Manga and released in 2016. The setting of the anime is during Taisho-era in Japan (1912-1926). What is the beginning of the story? Tanjiro’s family was killed by a demon and the only survivor is   Nezuko, she turned into a demon that leads tanjiro to join the Demon Slayer Corps and find a cure for his younger sister.  Tanjiro was able to smell emotions and everything in His surroundings. His goal in gathering the blood of the 12 demons led Him to Kibutsuji Muzan, The leader of the demons that can make a human turn into a demon and vice versa. Too stunned to fight he was left alone and that night, Tanjiro survives the assassination of Muzan’s demons. The Demon Slayer Corps then, have a tail on Muzan. The accident led to the acceptance of the Hashira’s (highest position in Demon Slayer Corps) to Nezuko a half-human half-demon to travel with Tanjiro. The story is not a typical shonen type anime. Other animes like assassination classroom, Dragon Ball and Fullmetal Alchemist have foreshadowed events that can easily be predicted by the viewer. The manga Demon Slayer shows stages of the improvement of characters with endless possibilities. It excites the viewer and readers to continue patronizing the anime. Readers are also tired with the protagonist only scene fighting with unruly demons. The anime added stories why the demons wanted power. What amazes me is that the demons root of anger is all humanities fault. I remember my teacher’s advice to me before, to be kind to everyone. We don’t know what they have been. The anime successfully show the actions of individual and their emotions affects the people around us. We can instantly kill dreams that are being forged in their hearts or shatter confidence that starts to build up. I understand how my classmates lost interest in their academe. It’s not their fault to transform into something they hate but the people around them that planted hate and anger deep down their souls. Tanjiros love to his family never fails. I imagined what would happened if Nezuko dies also. The pain will kill him remembering that he slept safely down the mountain while his family is eaten by the demon. He will continue to fight or will end his self also. Losing a member of the family may the end for everyone but his brave soul continue to step forward even with broken ribs and arms to find the cure to his younger sister. I discover in this anime that a pure kindness can exist in the shallow darkness. No matter what race that person came from, demons or human he show sympathy and make the demons inner desire come true. I remember the scene in the mountains of spider. The mother of the demon spider shows no resistance upon cutting her head she embraced the destiny  to be killed by Tanjiro. Tanjiro then use the water breathing, Fifth Form and change his grip of the nichhirin blade and beheading the demon mercifully. The fifth form is the Blessed Rain after the Drought. The demon feels the warmth and feels nothing as the water from the fifth form touches her face. I once read an article about demons that the earth is now filled with them. The main point of that article is that criminals are the demons in the society where we lived. They are the toxic root of humanities existence. But, like in the anime Demon Slayer, they don’t wield guns and knifes if someone doesn’t push them to do so. No child criminals would stole breads if their bellies are not starving to death. It is easy for us to condemn a what so called demon in our society because we don’t even have a chance to experienced things that happened to them. Being thankful is the best we can do because we don’t need to kill someone to LIVE.     `That would be all thank you for reading. Please comment down below whose Demon Slayer character you can compare your life our attitude with. Take time to watch the anime and Im sure you will surely like it!` Images from ufotables Free Demon slayer posters

Reasons Why you Should not visit Philippines February 16, 2022 Blog #4   In Asia, a small country is located with scattered islands composed of 7,640 islands. Where we can find many reasons to not step foot again. Im a Filipino and yes. Im imprisoned happily in my country. Here are some advices to some foreign readers in #read.cash why you should not visit my country. 1. Filipinos are Hospitable People in Different Level! If you ever try to visit a resort or relatives here in the Philippines they will give you the best accommodation that you’ve to wish not to go home again. I remember when I work in a resort before as a front office desk officer I was trained to give our best for our customers. Foreign or locals. I smile and answer even the most stupid questions trying not to, laugh. One time a customer approaches me and ask a “carbo-free paella” and a “Gambas without a shrimp”(Gambas is a dish composed of seafood mainly shrimps or prawns.) I know many Filipinos here kept an expensive set of plates, glass, and silverware and can only be used when we have a visitor. But during a regular day, we are using the cup of Nissin cup noodles for drinking water Haha or the iconic Nescafe transparent glass. At night, all bed sheets are replaced with newly washed linens soaked all day in downy fabric conditioner “Red perfume” HAHA!. The air condition is open 24/7 while you were staying and freely open the door in your room. But if it was just us, we can be yelled out to shut the AC or close the door because the AC can go out. Being a visitor here in the Philippines means Paradise. Filipinos will serve you the best dishes that we have. You came here fit, hot, and hunk. You will go home with a double-layered belly with bags full of “Pasalubong” or treats. Just don’t bring bagoong and durian in the passenger seat HAHAHA. 2. Heaven on Earth! Yes, it is like everyday summer here in the Philippines. Pure white sand beaches each part of the Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Crystal blue water with abundant marine life. Who disagree to sstay here forever if you have the best life on the seashore. You can taste freshly caught seafood. The sweet and savory umami coming from a hot pot full of fish, octopus, shrimp, sea urchin, lobster is heaven on earth! Paired with fresh coconut juice from the tree beside the shore. Imagine the sunset and sunrise every morning with the cold breeze of the wind. You can hear the sounds of the waves flashing in the sand. Beaches here are far away from the pollution. You can see the sky clearly with thousands of bright stars. Gazing at the beautiful moon in a high tide ocean. The harmony of the birds every morning still amazes me while the music of the crickets at night softens your heart to ease. Well, we are not limited to beaches but with lots of amazing land formations. We have the best perfectly coned volcano the Mayon volcano. Although during its eruption, it buried many lives the ashes coming from the volcano enriched the Land of Albay once again. Bohol also has chocolate hills during raining season. The hills turned brown when wet while it turns green covered with plants. The carved Banaue rice terraces by the Ifugao's are like stairways to heaven. It was designed to maximize the space for agriculture and the easy flow of water for vegetation. 3. Festivals all over the country There are more than a thousand of major and minor festivals in the Philippines. But the most famous festivals are kadayawan, sinulog, dinagyang, panagbenga, ati-atihan, and mascara. Festivals are celebrated with loud music accompaniment and dance competitions in group. It is to honor abundance of harvest, unity or faith. It unites every Filipino through this unique culture. If you were in the middle of a festival where everyone is shouting and dancing like in the Sinulog of Cebu, many people will hold your hand jump with you while spreading many colors using their hands. But I believed there is one festival that many working Filipinos hate. The San Juan festival. Imagine walking in a street and someone just throwing a bucket of water! You can’t be mad because it’s part of the festival. You can just laugh it out and don’t ever wear a uniform during San Juan HAHAHA. If you are commuting, sometimes fire trucks roam around and point the water pumps all over the road. Foods that touches Soul Since the Philippines is colonized by many countries, we inherited many traditional practices. In preparing food during special events, the endless pancit that was thought of by the Chinese is always present for longer life and prosperity. Adobo was also introduced by the Spaniards with many varieties that ended up as the national food of the country. No Filipino doesn’t know about this special dish. Maybe if being colonized have disadvantages, the only best thing based on my opinion is that we are introduced with many tastes and spices and bounded with one culinary thoughts! That would be all for today, and I want you to think twice when visiting in the Philippines. You may not come back home HAHAHA! There is a lot of things to talk about our country, comment your best experience here in the Philippines and if you want contents like this let me know in the comments section. Again if you have feedbacks and suggestions I'm happy to know that. Nice meeting you everyone, greetings fro the pearl of the orient, MADAYAW!   -MarCosis- Photos are edited in Canva

The Foods I Fell in Love With Feb 13, 2022 Food is my love language! Hello everyone! Chef Mark is here, I've just got home from my work. By the way, I resigned as a regular employee and become a part-timer. Well, 12 hours of duty plus studying exhaust me. Student at night then chef at the morning till afternoon. I would like to share with you some of the special dishes that make me look like this fat Hahaha The restaurant I worked named Fasta Pasta-Toril located at Toril Davao City Philippines. It was a small franchise restaurant. I will start with this favorite dish of mine, the SEAFOOD MARINARA The blend of pure riped tomatoes sweetness and sourness are added with the earthy flavor of spices, especially the basil. The muscles and shrimps are toasted in the butter before the sauce was added. Perfect extraction of the seafood taste coming from these ingredients. After that a toss from the pan I mix the pasta and let it dance in the pan. Well, my boss said that we should avoid tossing foods in the pan to do not put sauces on the fire stove. Still, I'm doing it because I enjoy tossing like chef boy Logro and Chef Marcos Ahahahaha. This is how I toss the pan. My hands were in the video! https://www.facebook.com/fastapastatoril/videos/346144723739805/ The next food I want to share with you is a rice meal dish that I always order. Since I'm a Filipino, we offer rice combos also. BABY BACK RIBS The perfect deep-fried ribs boiled in spices of garlic, onion, lemongrass, and other ingredients to make it so soft even cut with our old fork and spoon! It was drenched with lots of gravy to give more flavor and savor to the dish. The gravy was a little bit spicy because of the powdered pepper we used. The ribs were paired with rice and herbed potatoes with green beans that shake with basil for additional aroma. What trick I'm doing is I deep the herbed potatoes and bean in the gravy. Well not just being so obsessed with this dish but every time I have extra money I always take out baby back ribs with extra gravy for the rice. Since I'm a cook, I have the privilege to do so Ahahaha next food is almost like baby back ribs but uses a different flavor. MONGOLIAN RIBS BARBEQUE The ribs were grilled in a high heat then glazed with blended cumin, ginger, and lemongrass mixture. It has a sweet and savory flavor with a little bit of a smokey taste. The ribs were also soft and easy to eat. The meat can almost melt in the mouth! This was paired with coleslaw and grilled buttered sweet corn. I felt bad for other customers because they don't usually eat sweet corn. Temptation is always on my ears saying"Go pick the corn from the dishwasher" Ahahahaha by the way I still took 1 corn this afternoon HAHA! The next dish is quite familiar to everyone because of its spiciness. BUFFALO WINGS What I love about this dish is that the chicken wings are well marinated with lots of Ingredients. Even without the sauce, it tastes good, especially the skin. It's the best when coated in the original Buffalo Sauce that has a little bit of sweetness and lots of spicinesses. Many of the old-aged customers cannot finish this dish because of the high level of spiciness. The side dish is chilled cucumber and frozen sweet pineapples to ease the hotness of the dish. But for me it was perfect that makes me add three more rice! Now you may ask why does my love language is food? The efforts to make it, the strategies, and practices are enough for me to value every dishes I ate and cook. Maybe it is a simple thing to others but for me, Food is a precious gift that gives joy and satisfaction. To make it more special, eat with your loved ones and share the goodness of every bite. That would be all and I will be enjoying the food that was prepared by the mother of my partner a sinigang! Thank you for reading, Have a nice day! A Man can be Roses too My mom used to plant flowers in her small garden. She talks to them Every morning like it was listening. One of her favorite flowers there is her red roses. One time, while picking up some roses for our altar, I stood up on her side silently helping her. She said, "Mac, remember to be gentle while cutting them, they can be hurt as well as you." I've stopped picking red roses and realized what my mom says. Roses have Thorns🌹 Man can be strong as he lives. We can show how "masculine" we are and dependable. Those are like thorns that don't wither even the rose dies. But it can be cut and become harmless. Man tends to withdraw his strength when life challenges us. We cried as thorns of life started to penetrate deep into our hearts. Blood may drip but we will wipe it up because we are "men". We own problems worrying that we may pierce someone with our thorns. Research shows that men tend to suicide more than females. Roses variety of hues Not just red but roses can be white, pink, blue, or even orange. The rare it is the more it is valuable but the labeled"value" will always depend on who looks on it. We can see differently how a man is different from others. Maybe the way you cherish him as a friend or someone important to you. No man is the same as others. The most important is we can see how beautiful a rose can be and we take care of it. Roses lives shortly A picked rose can only last for a week. We can enjoy its beauty for a short period. We can glaze over the rich colors of this flower. Last blooms will always be the best sight of roses. A man's inner beauty is always hidden inside. Waiting for someone to pick up and serve its purpose. It is not always to be a girlfriend or boyfriend it can be a form of friendship and family. As long as he lives, he will show you the abundance of his love. You both may bloom forever. We must engrave with our hearts and soul that a man can be roses too. Be gentle while holding them and they will give you the best version of themselves. Thank you everyone for reading! This is my second article and I Always appreciate some feedback. I wish to interact more with my Readers and authors! Thank you

Am I Talentless? Have you ever felt being jealous of someone that excels in the field they choose? Like, why are they so good in that area? It left me stare in the wall realizing how many hobbies I engage with and still I’m not the best. When you put so much efforts and ending always on the second or third, even in the last. When you can do many things but doesn’t shine. I remember when I was in grade 6; my English teacher once praised me as I read with loud voice and clear dictations. Well, I’m just starting my puberty earlier that time ha-ha. I invested my self in reading a lots of language related books. I joined many competitions, dictation, speeches, oratorical, storytelling, campus journalism and as always, I still cant win any of the competition I’ve joined. Until I’ve reached my Senior High School days and realized that maybe I’m not good in literature arts, maybe I might excel in practical skills like cooking or any field in the culinary. That’s when I took a Bachelor of Technical Education Major in Food Service Management. I’m doing good in this field until now but still, there is something in myself that doesn’t satisfy me. During the second semester of my first year of college, I decided to work in catering and arrange buffet setups. I’ve been a working student that time and when the pandemic hits I’m an incoming third-year student, catering business doomed and the owners lost in a track. Then, I decided to work in a restaurant. I learned many strategies and skills I worked hard with a low wage salary for 12 hours of duty. I earned 280 pesos per day as a cook before and at that time, I think I must excel. I become a manager but still, the salary isn’t that high for the position.  Because of our hard work and dedication, the owner established four branches of restaurants here in Davao City for a short period. I left my job after a year and search for different opportunity. I’m very lucky with the current restaurant I’m working because they offer a higher salary for the cook but what impressed me is the healthy working environment they have. I decided to end my employment with them because of the On the Job training this month (February 2022). While I’m writing this article, I try to reflect and rediscover myself. The dissatisfaction with what I’ve achieved is still attached to my head. I’m not a materialistic person but there is an edge that tells me, “Do you consider that a success?” I’m hoping that time comes that we will sit on top and do what we’ve loved. Remember that multiple intelligences are present. I will continue to explore different areas in believing that one day, I will excel and enjoy things around me. The pressure is on me as I might graduate sooner and ends the exploration as I step into the real world. But you, if you still have the time and resources do everything that you’ve loved. Regrets will always haunt you.
