Legend has it that there once lived a very beautiful, but very lonely, daughter of an emperor. Her name was Camelia. He spent most of his time talking to the flowers. He had learned their language. In the kingdom over which the girl's father ruled, there lived a dragon who used to eat all the 14-year-old girls. The closer Camelia got to her birthday, the more she was surrounded by armies of guards watching over the princess and the more her parents' concern grew. They felt that no matter what they did, they could not protect their daughter. Despite the guards spread across all corners of the castle, the dragon managed to get inside and kidnapped the girl. He was going to bring it away and eat it. On the way to the place where the dragon lived, Camelia begged the flowers on the meadows she passed to turn her into a flower and save her. The flowers obeyed his will. He transformed it into a fine and delicate flower that the dragon escaped from its claws. As it touched the ground, it took root. He caused new flowers to sprout in the most varied colors and shapes...the camellias
