Nimes Nimes is an old Romanian city where you can find a well-preserved Roman amphitheater, so it should come as no surprise that it has been named the most Roman city outside of Italy. But Nimes is more than "just" an amphitheater and is a wonderful city to visit in the Occitanie region.
