The largest land animal in the world: Giraffe. The giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis) is a smoky African mammal and the tallest land animal. It reaches 5-6 meters in height and has an average weight of 1600 kg for males and 830 kg for females. The giraffe has an extremely elongated neck, reaching a length of more than 2 m, accounting for almost half of the animal's vertical height. A long neck results from a disproportionate lengthening of the cervical spine.
