8. The blue krait This is by far the most dangerous of the krait species. It can be found in Southeast Asia and Indonesia, and 50% of blue krait bites are fatal, even with the administration of antivenom. They are usually nocturnal snakes and are even more aggressive when it is dark. The venom is neurotoxic, 16 times more dangerous than that of a cobra, and quickly induces muscle paralysis. However, cases of krait snake bites are quite rare, precisely because of their nocturnal nature.
