One of the past time is listening true horror stories. If you happen to know "Ang Pinuno" in his youtube channel, he only narrates true stories. There are times that I asked somebody if they encounter same stories and most of them said it's true that during old times when there is no electricity and other modern technologies, they experienced a lot and boast that they survived (which is in a good way). Surviving in the past is not easy.
