The 2021/22 UEFA Champions League group stage draw ceremony took place in Istanbul, Turkey, on Thursday, 26 August 2021, alongside presentation of UEFA individual awards. Branislav Ivanovic and Michael Essien assisted in picking the balls from the pots during the draw.

Concurrently with the Champions League group stage draw, there was presentation of annual individual UEFA awards that recognised standout players as well as coaches from the 2020/21 editions of both men and women category of the competition.
The major individual titles were the:

UEFA Women’s Coach of the Year
In addition to the aforementioned titles positional awards were presented to the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward for Men and Women category of the 2020/21 Champions League. There was also the Europa League Player of the Season Award.

UEFA President's Award 2021
The 2021 edition of the UEFA President's award honoured the "heroes of Copenhagen" who came to the aid of Christian Eriksen at the UEFA EURO Cup 2020 match between Denmark and Finland. The recipients of the award were the medical team and the Danish national team captain Simon Kjær.
