Volume up

Take away the chants, the cheers, and the boos, and then goals lacking the celebratory roar from the tens of thousands of fans in the stadium is like a key aspect of the emotional experience has been taken away. My team, Arsenal, is currently playing a match away to Everton. I went to a viewing centre to watch the match on TV. I paid at the entrance when I walked in the match already started but the room was so quiet. No sound from the TV. It was weird. https://read.cash/@Macronald/my-favorite-disappointment-d9271ca7 I sat for a few minutes watching the football without sound, it felt very solitary. I couldn't take it anymore, my brain is not used to this. I walked to the guy I paid and told him to fix the sound or return my money so I can go elsewhere. He immediately went to the front and switched the TV, and we got sound. Volume up please, I said. He raised the volume, and it felt just okay. I can now sit and enjoy watching my team play, I hope. I couldn't help but wonder why the other viewers that came earlier didn't complain about not having sound. Though the normal crowd size isn't there, there is the commentary, the chant from the few fans allowed into the stadium and then the artificial crowd sound that has been in use since fans were banned from the stadium. I just couldn't stand the silence. I'm not used to it. It's already halftime and my team, Arsenal, is already a goal behind - a typical Arsenal game. We will likely go on to lose the match, more points lost. At this rate, they may end up been relegated to the lower league. https://read.cash/@Macronald/my-favorite-disappointment-d9271ca7 Arsenal - my favourite disappointment, and they have continued in the streak of disappointment. https://read.cash/@Macronald/my-favorite-disappointment-d9271ca7 I will have to end this here, the second half has begun.
