Ever had a TV talk to you?

"Hey bro, you ever had like, a T.V. talk to you?" Danny asked Wesley. Wesley was occupied playing Counter Strike, "Uhh... yeah" he answered. Danny knew he wasn't taking the question seriously. "Like, how many times bro?" Wesley didn't answer. Danny stared off into space for a few minutes, her mind wandered with facts and timelines like a mental maze. She realized Wesley was ignoring her, "HOW MANY TIMES I SAID?" she demanded, " ANSWER ME!!" Wesley was deep into the game, "I dunno, like four" he answered back. Danny didn't bring it up again with him for the rest of the day.

The next day Danny went for many smoke breaks thinking about the T.V. talk. "I call it Illuminati vision" her friend had once said. She later suggested they call it "ALIEN VISION" because it just seemed to make more sense. This is way bigger than the Illuminati she thought, this must have some outside influence above us in space at work. She was probably better off calling it Illuminati vision the more she thought about it. The internet conspiracies described some sort of neural remote monitoring with broadcasting abilities. Basically what she understood was that they could see your thoughts on a screen, combined with some super A.I. she called this beast FOTOS. It's predictive, manipulative, merging, mimicking, monster, mind-bending, mirror vision, freaky technology, she told the Doctor.

"What Doctor?!" Wesley scratched his head. "You're seeing a doctor? Who?" Danny looked sharply at him and pointed her finger, "EXACTLY! A-HAH!! WHO???!!!" Wesley shook his head, "Girl, you're starting to crack up. I mean, you're really starting to lose it. Are you on drugs?!" Danny punched his arm, "Shut up man...I've quit drugs". Wesley was annoyed with Danny lately, she kept blowing up at him with little to no explanation as to why. "You know what Danny, you need to chill out, like I'm serious - you're really starting to piss me off and I don't believe you're off drugs. I think you're still fucking around". Wesley threw his remote controller on the floor, he was getting pawned. He shoved a pillow up on the headboard, plopped himself back, and swiped open his phone. He cleared out the data, there was all kinds of crap just mucking it up. He really did not want to hear what Danny had to say. "Besides," he jabbed, "Didn't you say you were getting zooted when that T.V. talked to you? How do you know you just weren't really just fucked up?" Danny knew he had a point, "Whatever, I'm going on a smoke break" she responded as she was on her way out the door. She had a nasty habit of picking the skin around her fingernails lately. She could pick at her fingers for hours and just think about the T.V. When she returned from her smoke break she decided to go sit alone in her room and talk to the Doc. She could think thoughts to the doc, but she rather write it out on her note pad, she wanted something she could keep for good record...she felt crazy talking to the doc in her mind. Maybe Wesley is right, she thought to herself as she took a drag. Maybe I'm crazy after all, maybe Wesley is right and I'm just really starting to lose it.

Danny came back inside and glanced at her notepad. She threw it down on the floor and sat on her desk chair. "Well Doc," she said out loud, "Here goes nothing..." she picked at the skin around her left index finger and closed her eyes. Thoughts began to stream out like radio waves, hopefully it would stay tuned:

I was in a good mood that morning Doc, I was getting ready to go out and I started listening to the Hotel California. In fact, I even had some time to make a mix track of Hotel California and put some military walkie talkie talk over it. Sounded real cool... I named the file "Hotel Overlord". Thought I was meeting a younger guy that day, but in fact it was an older friend. Boy, I had PSYOP'd myself pretty good on that one. He was the one with the zoot, and we checked into a hotel not too far away from the house. There wasn't much time, I had a post office deadline. Saw a man in the lobby I thought looked familiar, I was already starting to have crazy thoughts that day. We get into the room and I can't help but notice some white rocks outside the door. There was a hole cut into the sidewalk concrete and the rocks covered it up. The room seems pretty normal but everything is kind of broken. I remember my friend saying he couldn't find the remote. He pulls out the stuff, we get zooted, and do the unspeakable deed. The T.V. was on the whole time and I was texting my friend while we're zooting and buffing, "It's Alien talk on the T.V. right now". M.A.S.H. was on, and I swear to God it was about Tokyo and there was a doctor, a bra actually laying off to the side of the screen, a pink one. Like the bra was ON the T.V. Towards the end of the show they said something about my friend and there was joking and laughter. Something about him being an older man with a big stomach. The whole entire show made no sense, it was like a rambling parody of us. The words matched the moving mouths on the screen, this was no voice over Doc, this was something going on. After I get dressed, I start going into attack mode and I wanna find out who it is and why, why is the T.V. talking to me today? I start scouting around the room picking up broken pieces of things and stacking them up on the desk. I had a little plastic Army guy in my pocket that day I took out, I knew it was gonna be quite a day. Stuck that little Army soldier toy guy on the desk with the broken bits, made a little memorial looking thing. I find the remote behind the couch, I start ripping off labels on the appliances, I'm inspecting patches on the walls, and even took a little sugar pack to see who, what, and where it came from. Turns out it's from South Carolina, somewhere by a real nice golf course. My friend looks at me like I'm twacking hard and has an uncomfortable disposition about him. We leave the room, I'm not mad, I'm not glad, I'm really not all that messed up - I'm really not messed up Doc, like I know, I know what I saw and heard. In fact, I'd like to say it was fascinating and I don't want no pill to make it stop. No Doc, I've got what it takes and if it happens again, I'm saying, C'mon! Bring it on!! Fuck you Doc, you don't know what it takes, and if you think freaking me out is going to make things better I'm telling you right now you're wrong. I don't care about your messages or the things that you're trying to use to stop me with. I'm a good person Doc, and no matter what - I'm going to do the right things. Wesley needs it, I need it, WE ALL NEED IT DOC! Danny paused and realized she was having an argument in her mind. She picked her notepad off the floor and begin ripping out pages and crumpling them up. She should have written things down all along, the problem was - she was jotting down the wrong notes. This time she was going to start with a clean slate and make the words clear. There was no way the Doc wouldn't side with her now, he had the tech and she had the heart. With the two of them combined, they would create a Defense Force that was completely unstoppable. They would empower this world...
