She knew what she is going to say next will change nothing, it will surely not reverse time, time she wasted on things that never mattered, time she wasted on chasing dreams that were fleeting and time she will never get back. But overthinking all these things will get her nowhere, so she said the words that she should have uttered long ago. "I love you." She whispered, her voice brittle with emotions that were closing on her, as memories of her past haunted her eyes as if someone has clicked play on a video that is showing her every beautiful but heartbreaking memory of her life that she has spent with him. "I love you" She repeated those words over and over, as a lone tear escaped her eyes, sliding down her cheek as if finally free from the cage of emotion, that were her eyes. a tear followed by another and seconds later tears were streaming down her face as she said words that he wanted to hear for so long, over and over.
