Memories don’t leave like people do Memories are precious A major part in your life They are made in special moments Some are happy some filled with strife Memories are a reminder Of all the good things we have lost Leaving behind the hurt and anger Leaving you counting the cost Memories never leave you Not like most people do They fester in your mind After they have passed through Friendships never last forever But the memories linger on They never leave your mind Even after you are gone Memories don’t leave like people do They are always there to haunt you You cry yourself to sleep at night Because you don’t know what else to do People always leave you It’s inevitable in the end Memories are all that are left Of a lover or a friend Memories don’t leave like people do They just fade into your past Nothing in this life is forever Only memories are made to last
