Asher just came in his room, but his eyes were on Callie's bedroom door looking.
He took a bath, before he sleeps.
It would be embarrassing if Callie could have open his door again,
he smiled and slowly approached the door of his room.
He takes a deep breath and try to knock the door.
"Oh, why are you still awake?"
Asher couldn't keep up the knock and turned to Grandma Isay,
He smiled and scratches his head while keeping distance to Callie's bedroom door.
"I can't sleep, and I just done my shower." He replied.
"Is that so, come join me for tea first." Grandma Isay said and headed first.
Asher just followed, besides he couldn't even sleep.
And it’s Grandma Isay who offered for tea he couldn’t refuse.
He noticed she coming out, across the slide door.
She went straight to her mini garden, with a round table and seems like it’s an antique.
She sat down so he sat down too,
he also noticed the little tea pot and and a tea cup then give to him.
"Thank you.” he immediately accepted it and drank slightly.
"Looks like, you two enjoy the trip." Grandma said.
He put the cup first.
"Yes, the falls was beautiful and the so called Osmeña peak though it is four hours travel it was still worth it. " He replied and looked around first.
it was so quietly peaceful, only crickets could be heard.
The wind was refreshing and the fragrance of the beautiful flowers could be smelled.
"Whether you admit it or not, you like Callie right?" Grandma suddenly asked
"Pardon?" He quickly replied even though he heard what was Grandma talking about.
But of course he was embarrassed because perhaps Grandma Isay would misunderstood it.
The old man laughed slightly.
"You are blushing?" She teased him, and suddenly sighed.
"Son, the real man they do not love the beauty of a woman in outer form. You know what a man loves?" She added.
"What is it?" He asked Curiously.
"They love a woman, who can color and make their world happy. " She replied
Asher suddenly stopped , Grandma Isay was right.
Ever since Callie came into his life he has never lost a smile on his lips.
Callie gave his world a color.
The world where he is really looking for love of who he is.
"Not all the time, there is always someone there to understand and cheer you on. So whoever that woman is in your life..." And looked at Ace.
"As early as possible, say what you really feel." She said.
He couldn’t respond as he stared at Grandma Isay.
"Uhmm." He didn't know what to say.
"Son, I know. . . It's hard to get hurt, but it's harder if you don't try. Because when you don't know the true answer, you too might regret it." She seemed reminding Asher and continue drinking the tea.
He smiled a little bit and started to take a deep breath.
"I don't know, if he can accept me." Finally he said something too.
"If a woman is important to you, you have nothing to hide. Because you love her, so she must know whatever you are hiding.” Grandma explained and sip the tea.
"Actually, that's just a secret. Other boys, were just nice to bed but when it comes to the obligation they got scared." She added.
"Why, are you already a father?"
Asher cough on what he heard he didn’t know if he should laugh or what.
He didn't even know if Grandma Isay was just joking or giving an advice.
"Grandma, I'm still young. " he replied.
"That’s it, you young man. While you're still here, you make your move before it’s too late perhaps someone will get her heart first before you do." Grandma said.
"Wait and I'll warm it up again, it's a bit cold. For a moment, just stay here and wait I’ll be right back." Grandma said and stood up to warm up the tea again.
Asher remained and looked into the sky.
"Maybe, I'll admit what I feel. While we were here." He whispered.
Callie is not asleep yet, she is just busy fixing what she wrote and the photos she has taken earlier from the trip.
Just as much fun as Ace was with her earlier, she briefly stopped what she was doing and remembered their scene earlier.
His eyes, the nose and lips.
The innocent face that couldn’t fade in her mind.
"Did if think, he was the one?” She sighed, she felt that she was struggling with the feeling for Ace.
She wanted to stop, but she couldn't seem to avoid it.
"I hope, that he like me too." And briefly looked at the door that was already close.
"How I wish, I can tell you Goodnight and sweet dreams Ace." She whispered
Right next door to her, Asher turned around again and watched Callie's door,
he smiled.
"Goodnight, Callie." He whispered and entered his room.
