It all starts with a mindset shift

Success doesn’t mean having lots of money and luxuries. Often, people with lots of money have unbalanced lives that make them unhappy.  Success means improving yourself every day, what you consume and growing as a person so that you can serve other people better.  And this is where the problem lies for most people. To achieve great things, your activities, habits and experiences must be filled with quality.  People are unable to evolve when they spread themselves too thin. As you become more successful, it is imperative that you focus more on the things that matter in the essential areas of your life (health, well-being, financial, social, relationships, etc.). You are free to spend your time with anyone or doing anything. However, if you want to continue evolving, you must remove mediocrity from your life or risk staying stagnant.  This obviously isn’t easy and it’s why many people reach a certain level and stay there. At some point, you have to make necessary adjustments according to the choices you’ve been making. As the old saying goes —> If you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done. You may be doing well in some areas and lacking in others. This is where self-awareness plays a major key. If you realize a bad habit is holding you back then you have to take steps towards eliminating it. You can start with small steps to ensure success. Maybe you decide to stop eating out one less time per week and learn how to start making one new meal every week or month. Every choice you make builds on a previous choice that stacks towards a successful life. The higher standard you set by making these stacked choices, the less you are able to rationalize decisions that lower your quality of life. The more consistent you are in incremental change, the more easily you will see progress in the area of your life that you are working on. This doesn’t mean you can be perfect all the time. For example, no one can eat healthy food 100% of the time. Pizza does exist after all. The goal is to be consistent in making good choices that benefit you long term. What you do the majority of the time will dictate what the quality of your life will be.  If the majority your daily behaviors are low-quality then that is what your overall life quality will be and the same goes if most of your behaviors are positive and high quality.  This isn’t a process that can happen overnight. This is a process that continues throughout your whole life. One area of life is directly correlated to every other area of life. If you work on slowly improving all the areas that matter the most to you, the effect will compound. For this method to work, you must eliminate things that are helping you move forward so that you can focus on the truly important things. It all starts with a mindset shift. == This is my first article on here so thank you for reading until the end! I hope you enjoyed the quick read and find a nugget of value in my thoughts.
