A delicious treat not fit for rich kids. I was quite surprised to learn from my wife that she brought home some bamboo shoots for our dinner this evening in the sense that I was detailed to do fieldworks in the mountain where bamboo shoots are supposedly to be in abundance but haven't found anything yet due to a monsoon break that occured for almost a week and my wife told me that she bought the bamboo shoots from a friend who resides at the nearby village. So I requested her to make a salad and paired it with salted dried sardines, one of the perfect meal for the rainy season here in the Philippines.
