BITAOG; INDIAN DOOMBA OIL TREE; MASTWOOD TREE; TAMANU TREE (Calophyllum inophyllum) This tree commonly grows on sandy seashores and can also go further inland whenever there are currents that carries its bouyant fruits. The wood from this tree is used in traditional shipbuilding and the oil is used to fuel lamps in the coastal areas of Northwestern Luzon when kerosene is not yet introduced in the country many years ago.
