Passing Through Alindahaw Lakeview Resort Alindahaw Lakeview Resort is a lake resort in Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur. It is an hour away from Pagadian City. The resort has a pool, accommodation, resto, water rides, lakeview tour, and a floating restaurant. When we went there, they had a zipline too. One of the gems in Mindanao. ❤

From Night Til Morn Reminiscing the days before the Covid19 pandemic. I miss bonding with my cousins, nephews/nieces, aunts/uncles. I miss seeing the kids having fun in the sand and the waves. I miss the boisterous laughters of my mom, aunts and uncles. I miss talking with my cousins over food and watching our kids. While the kids get ready to sleep, the party is just starting for the oldies. After drinking alcohol and the oldies go to sleep, I have 2 cousins who waits for the sunrise with me while drinking coffee and talking quietly. Favorite Stops in Bukidnon Hi, everyone. It's a rainy Sunday in our place. I am craving for a hot *tsokolate* and *biko*. *Tsokolate* is a Filipino chocolate drink of tablea chocolate which is made from the seeds of cacao tree. *Biko* is a Filipino delicacy, a rice cake. Took this at Seagull Steak House and Coffee Shop, one of our favorite stop on the Davao-Cagayan de Oro route. The restaurant is outside Seagull Resort, one of famous mountain resorts in Buda, Bukidnon. Another favorite stop is at Bemwa Farm in Marilog District. I love how refreshing this place is. They have an open cafe for travellers where you could order the most fresh caesar salad, *tsokolate*, black coffee, etc. They sell flowers, plants and vegetables at very low prices. Last but not least, it's never complete driving through Bukidnon without stopping to eat the juiciest and sweetest pineapples I have ever tasted. I'll be retracing my steps after this pandemic. I miss these places and a lot more. ❤

Late Afternoons At The Beach Going away from the hustle and bustle of the city, me and a couple of friends went to Samal Island for a relaxing weekend. The island is an hour away from Davao City and boasts of white-sand beaches, falls, springs, caves, and cystal clear water. That's a story for another time. The next photo I took was while waiting for the barge that will take me from Mukas Terminal, Lanao del Norte to Ozamis City. I was amazed how the darkness was slowly enveloping the day. The last picture was captured while enjoying the soft breeze at the Dumaguete Boulevard. The phone I used had a very low camera resolution. This was before 2010. Hope you enjoy these pictures! ❤

Old Pictures Found When I was still going around places for work, I would come across amazing scenes that I would just whip off my phone and take a shot. These images were taken by a BlackBerry Curve 9300, a 2010 model. So-so decent camera, but still a good phone and I had it for years.

Hissssss.. It's a Snake! I was out in our backyard looking for ripe Calamansi fruit to mix in my sauce and juice. I was already picking a few fruit when I decided to pick at the higher branches. Since it was getting very dark, I fished out my phone and illuminated the higher branches. Imagine my horror when I found this. I jumped back and roared in fright. The first thought that came to mind, "king cobra!" A few days ago, a 21-year old college student from another barangay near ours died from a king cobra's bite. You can understand my fear.  I called my 3 neighbors who were cleaning their fruit stand near our house telling them I found a snake. We all went back to the Calamansi plant and looked for the snake. We were careful not to disturbed its rest. After finding it, one of my neighbors said it was not venomous. It was a *hanlulukay*, a Philippine whip snake. It is often found in branches, and it can jump from one branch to another. We let the snake be on its own. My Little Terror Angel "You are an angel when asleep; a terror when you are awake." 😅 Thoughts whirling in my head as I stared at her sleeping form. Still I couldn't help steal kisses and whisper how much I love her. Earlier tonight, she had her worst tantrum --- throwing the toys I bought her this afternoon, shouting angrily at me and my mom. I couldn't help but hide a smile at her cute display though. Yup, I still think it was cute. Call me a bad mom, a "kunsintidor" (a person who condones the bad behavior of another person) but after an outburst I had earlier this year, I promised myself to have more patience and to never let lose control of my anger again. My outburst made me realized how fragile she still is, emotionally and psychologically. She is just a 3-year-old. It wasn't that I hurt her physically, it was the feeling that she was alone and had to call for her father (my estranged husband). I never want her to feel that ever again. So when she gets upset or my mom would get angry at her, I hug her. I tell her how we all love her, and when being reprimanded, I try to explain why. Me, when ever I have a short fuse, I learned to have a tight grip on my anger, close my eyes for a moment, take a deep breath, and remember how much I love her. These days, I am still observing and working around her impatience. Yup, takes after me. LOL. Seriously though, I am still learning the how-to's. One often effective method is to call me or my mom when she gets impatient. I referred to it as "often effective" because it doesn't work ALL the time. What makes her impatient? She loves disassembling her toys. However she terrorizes us when she is angry, she is the sweetest, very helpful, very generous, and very kind when she is not.  (CTTO Shutterstock.com for the image thumbnail)

Encounters My friend, Eve, her husband and their 5 year old daughter just moved to a house that they can call their own. It took them years to save to build the house. She loves it there, away from the bustling city, clean and fresh air, an overlooking view of the ocean. The neighbors were nice and friendly people. Their yard, big enough for a parking space and a garden area. Along with them is their longtime helper, Manang Inday. Her family and Manang would often eat dinner together. And Eve has insisted that they pray the rosary every night as a family. As much as Eve loves their new place, she feels and sees things that she should not, there is another family living in their house. Yes, Eve's third eye is open. She sees elements and ghosts. When she was younger, she would get frightened but she got used to it and started to ignore whatever she is seeing. She still gets frightened at times especially if she is caught off guard. One Saturday, we went to the office with 4 of our colleagues to finish the reports. Our office was operating Monday to Friday only but we can request an overtime on weekends. When we were at the gate, Eve exclaimed, "wow, ga office sad sila! (Wow, they are doing office too!)" When asked, she just answered 'nothing.' She told us what she saw when we were going home, she didn't want to frighten us and said they were harmless. According to her, she saw spirits milling in our office yard and buildings as if they were also working. There was also one time we travelled for work with 3 of our colleagues, 1 boy (Yan) and 2 girls. It was in a small town 4 hours from the city. We rented a family room and gave the single bed to our only gentleman. We, the 4 girls, slept in a king-sized bed placed against a wall. The order was, from the side of the wall is Em, Rach, me, and then Eve. We slept with the lights on. Around 3am, the dogs outside were barking loudly that woke us up, except for Yan. I felt Eve stirring and turning. After a few minutes, she went rigid and hugged me tighter. I didn't ask anymore what she saw and we just huddled together. I took a look at Eve and her face was in a pinched, eyed closed shut. I silently prayed that it won't hurt us or whatever it is she had seen. When we were back in the city, during a dinner at old Larsian, she told us that during our first night when we were awaken by the dogs' barking, at the chair facing us was a man sitting looking at us. At first, she thought it was Yan but she wondered why he was up so early, it was still dawn. She thought of calling him but she noticed the man was wearing a 'barong tagalog' and realized that it was not Yan. A barong tagalog is a formal wear for men in the Philippines. Eve said she saw a silhoutte of that man again when we were going out of the inn but ignored it. Having this kind of gift is both a blessing and a curse, said an HR Manager I know and who possesses this gift, too. I admire these kind people because it takes extra courage and strength to overcome the fear of seeing things ordinary eyes cannot. As for me, I can sense things but I do not see them. I hear familiar voices calling my name when there is nobody there. I ward off feelings of uneasiness and finds strength in prayers.

But through the articles here, I learn little steps about the crypto world. Survey-Paying Sites in the Philippines Doing surveys is an activity I enjoy doing in my free hours. I regret the times I ignored the emails of the survey sites I entered just because I felt lazy answering the surveys. They really pay for real. I have been a member of the following sites for over 2 years now. Lifepointspanel.com - I joined this site 10 years ago. The name was different then, Global Test Market. You will get points per every survey you are qualified. Points can be given to a charity. It can be converted to amazon gift checks. 2016, I think, they added cash through Paypal. 1 point equals 1 peso. I had over 8000 points then. It was a timely reward. You can access the site through a browser. Rakuten Insight Surveys - I joined this site just months after GlobalTestMarket. Its name then was AIP Surveys. Same with the latter, you get points for every survey you are accepted. Points can be converted to Sodexo gift check. They also added conversion to cash through Paypal. 1000 points equals P100; 2500 points for P250 worth of Sodexo gift check. I already converted 3 P1000 worth of Sodexo checks, and cash through Paypal worth P2000. The site can be accessed through a browser. Yes, lifepointspanel seems to give higher rewards for lower points but rakuten gives more surveys than lifepoints. Who would you choose? Nah, choose them both since they both reward you for real. Marang Fruit Our neighbor just harvested their marang fruit. I bought it per piece for P30-P45 depending on its size. I am selling it online now for P60-P80 per piece. So far, just this morning I already sold 22 pieces of Marang. Since childhood, Marang is one of my favorite fruits. My grandparents used to have 10-15 trees in their farm. When it is its season, I usually have it for breakfast since it is not acidic. My Nanay used to tell us to eat Marang for it is good for our tummy --- it improves digestion and lessens constipation. Marang is full of vitamins and minerals like all other fruits. It is rich in vitamins A, B, C and beta-carotine. It is also rich in fiber, hence good for our tummy. It is said that the Marang fruit is good for those who have diabetes because it has components that reduces blood sugar levels. Some of my friends do not like Marang though. If Durian for me smells like the foot of the Gods, Marang for me smells like the nectar of the Gods. Marang's fruit cover is soft and tends to rot when it becomes overripe. Its best variety is the Evergreen. Most variety of Marang from green turns brown when they are ripe. The Evergreen variety stays green, hence its name. It is also the sweetest and has the best quality --- juicy and the flesh is firm but soft. My 3-year old daughter is loving the Marang fruit, too. I'm glad she does because it has nutrients that would benefit her body as she is growing. Try it, too!
