The post about Nigeria accepting BCH reminds me of many years back in Nigeria when I experienced dollar shortage in the country and most businesses had to go thru a third country. I have no doubt why crypto adoption has been so fast in the country. This, of course, has an effect on stability of Naira, the local currency, and there was a reaction from government last year to launch Digital Naira. In the long run, we may have to see which will be more widely accepted. Anyway Nigeria has provided a lot of lessons learned for developing countries that are hostile to crypto existence. Instead of protecting fiat, it turns to be a driving force for crypto adoption.
