Not only once do I hear this marriage vows as this is the usual line to utter during the sacrament of the wedding. YET, not only once too that I witnessed broken when the relationship ride become bumpy. It ended up as " BROKEN VOWS."
In recent years, mostly what I read about were cheating and betrayals that frequently lead to both couples' parting ways. Others chose peaceful breakups, while others ended up in court battling to find JUSTICE for what they had been.
So yesterday, while I was on my bed waiting for my husband's call, I stumbled into a vlog about a local actor, Andrew Shimmer. It was one of the trending topics on Facebook.
I am not a fan of watching videos on YouTube unless it's a documentary, but this triggers the inner me, so I click the link.
After minutes of watching, I learned that his wife had been hospitalized since November 2021 due to a severe asthma attack that caused cardiac arrest and brain hypoxia.
Brain hypoxia is a condition in which there is a decrease in oxygen. What will happen then? It can be led to death as we all know how vital the brain is.
Since his wife was admitted, he never failed to care for her and their family. He would bring their kids every night to the hospital while he was busy nursing her wife. Giving her medicines and ensuring she felt comfortable.
That means he won't have time to sleep, as he added he couldn't also rest nor relax knowing that the love of his life was in that condition. He sleeps for an hour sometimes. He finds it unfair that he is okay while his wife is lying on the sick bed.
When the host asked him how he managed that, his response was
Everything is hard before it becomes easy. It was muscle memorization, and when his body memorized everything, it became easy.
He was driven by the LOVED that makes all his adrenaline work. As love also means sacrifices. If you can't sacrifice, it means that the love you feel is untrue.
Aside from love, he is holding into HIM. Praying for him to give him more strength
