What is STEREOTYPING? It a generalized belief about a particular catergory of people.. It is an expectation that might have about every person of a particular group. EXAMPLE: Usually when I met someone here in Manila and they know I came from Visayas they would immediately conclude that I am a Bisaya. Bisaya are usually branded as "Fearless"😂. So they would thought I am one. On the other hand, it is good cause you know, they wont mess with you😂. That was also the reaction of my mother in law when my boyfriend now my husband introduced me. I overheard her says" Oi, ingat ka diyan sa girlfriend mo, bisaya iyan, matapang iyan". Me to myself, Oh I am not, I'm an Ilongga, but doesn't mean I am sof spoken😂😂. Good evening noisers!
