This Will Happen If You Give Up
You had this goal in life. The goal that you wanted to achieve in the future. The goal that you were so eager to attain that you instantly planned on how are you going to make it. You created paths to take just to reach that goal in the end.
Howbeit, as you sailed towards that goal, you have experienced a lot of struggles. The first struggle seemed so easy to take that you were able to surpass it without a sweat. The second struggle seemed a bit harder than the first one, but then again, you were still able to overcome it. But as you get more and more struggles, you felt overwhelmed by the happenings. You no longer feel like pursuing that goal, and in the end, you gave up.

What Happens if You Give Up on Your Goal
So, you decided to give up on the goal that once motivated you to pursue. You chose to leave behind the plans you once had to attain and decided to forget all the struggles that stayed beside it. You may have developed being stressed or burnt out that you come upon the idea to stop holding on to it to finally breathe again.

Giving up on a goal is not as easy as it seems. You wanted to achieve that goal in the first place, but due to some factors, you end up waving goodbye to it. You might feel tired of achieving it as you see no progress, you might be feeling overwhelmed by a lot of challenges that life has thrown at you after you pursue the goal, you might feel as though it's not for you, and name a few. As much as you wanted to keep going, your mind and even your heart are in the chaos that you decided to give up on that goal in the first place.
In that matter, you will experience a lot of things after the goal has ended. One of which is you think a lot of the "What Ifs" in your mind. The "What If" thoughts will somehow ruin your mood and ruin your glow. The "What Ifs" will make you feel down.
"What if I continue reaching for that goal?"
"What if I never gave up?"
"What if things became better if I never gave up?"
Having these thoughts will surely punish, not only your mind but also your heart. Not to mention, your heart will greatly be affected by what you think. If you keep on thinking about what you did in the past and what you decided to follow, you will surely end up feeling anxious. You feel bothered about what will be your path now that you decided not to pursue it. From that, you will start creating scenarios in your head of the things that you think might happen if you choose to continue.
Needless to say, as much as there will be a lot of "What If" thoughts that will pop in your head, you will also be overloaded with thoughts on what you missed in life. Thoughts that you missed a lot of opportunities, you missed to become better, you missed trying and end up thinking how you messed up you can be.
This will yield to you feeling upset and demotivated at the same time. You will feel upset in a way that you feel like a failure and a loser for giving up such a goal. You will then start to question your potential. You will feel as though you're not special as the rest as you feel weak knowing the thought that you never continue pursuing such a goal. With that in mind, you will eventually feel demotivated to do anything. You will feel like the world is against you. You will feel tired and it will yield to you feeling unproductive in life.
Thoughts to Feed-in Your Mind
The things mentioned above can be truly frustrating. But you have to remind yourself of the positive sides of life even if you have given up on that goal you once had. Remind yourself of these thoughts and wire yourself with them for you feel fine:
It's never too late to start another goal. Even if your previous goal never worked out in the end. You can always start another goal, but with a better outlook. Try to reflect on your previous goal on why it didn't work out and try another way for your new goal to prosper. And if you feel like giving up again after a few tries, try to remind yourself why did you start in the first place. And lastly, keep moving forward and hold on tight, you will surely achieve the goal you have in mind this time.
Indeed, there will be a lot of things that will happen if you give up on the goal you plotted in your mind. These happenings are too unpleasant to feel. So next time, continue reaching the goal no matter how hard it gets. One day, you'll be able to reach it and be grateful for not being able to experience the things that will happen if you give up because you never give up in the first place.

Like they said, it's better to try and fail rather than to regret without trying. Giving up is easier said than done but in order to get rid of that words you should think of those reasons why you laid out such goals. In that way giving up won't bother us anymore.
