Cause of Death : Cerebral Palsy

**You may REST IN PEACE our Baby Arianne!! We love you so much.**  I remember back then when I was still in high school, I attended a "Leadership training". I was asked by one of the  guest speakers what is my greatest fear in life? So I told them that my greatest fear was death, but not my death. What I mean is the death of my family members, the death of my friends and all the people I love. Whether we acknowledge it or not, most of us fear death in that way. Baby Arianne is the second child of my cousin, so she is actually my nephew. She is a very good inside and outside school. She is a happy child. And I love how respectful she is. She just celebrated her 7th birthday last June 5,2021. She started to feel the pain in her head 4 days after her birthday. So her mother and father decided to bring her to the hospital. And after the test/examination  of her, the doctor says that it's Cerebral Palsy. And she must undergo an operation. But unfortunately she passed away before the day of her operation.

**Cause of death** : ****Cerebral Palsy**** **What is Cerebral Palsy?** **Cerebral Palsy** Is an umbrella term that refers to a group of disorders or disabilities affecting the person's ability to move Is it due to damage of the developing brain either during the pregnancy or surely just after birth. **SYMPTOMS**  Most of the symptoms are in movement and coordination problems associated with cerebral palsy  Variations in muscle tone, like for example being like too floppy Exaggerated reflexes (spasticity) Lack of balance and muscle coordination  Delays in reaching motor skills milestones Difficulty walking Excessive drooling or problems with swallowing Difficulty with eating etc. **CAUSES OF CEREBRAL PALSY** In most cases the cause of the baby cerebral palsy isn't known, but there are factors that can lead to problems with brain development 1**.Gene mutations** lead to abnormal development 2. **Maternal infections**  affect the developing fetus 3. **Disruption of blood supply to the developing brain** 4. **Bleeding into the brain in the womb**  5. **Infant infections**   cause inflammation in or around the brain 6. **Head injury from fall or accident** **DIFFERENT TYPES OF CEREBRAL PALSY** Cerebral palsy can be classified into 4 different types: **1.Spastic**  stiff movements and caused by damage to the motor cortex **2.Dyskinetic**  uncontrollable movements and caused by damage to the basal ganglia 3**. Ataxic**  characterized by poor balance and coordination and caused by damage to the cerebellum **4. Mixed**  a combination of 2 or more types of CP **The primary treatment for cerebral palsy is** Medication, therapy, and surgery to manage symptoms and relieve pain. **Closing thoughts**      I really don't know what to say. I can't imagine that at her age, she will experience those pains.
