Aya Sophia-Aya Sophia Mosque İstanbul/Turkey Aya Sophia-Aya Sophia Mosque; Its historical texture has been preserved as it is, and by using a very special technique only during prayer times, paintings and frescoes have been covered, and they have been rendered worshipable. (As you know: there is no prayer in a place where there are paintings, sculptures, etc.) Except for prayer and prayer times, this excellent structure is open to visitors and tourism.
