Monthly Report of Working Out
January was a great month for my financial goals because I achieved what I wanted for the whole month. Of course, I also have personal goals and one of them is to work out daily including the weekly rest to achieve the body posture that I want or to be physically fit.
To be honest, I rarely exercise because I lack motivation and I had a bad experience last year. In 2021, working out was part of my routine for 5-6 months. I eat less and exercise for 10-20 mins daily. Unfortunately, in the span of 5 months, nothing happened and I did not get what I wanted. I became skinny but the fats were not burned.
Hence, I decided to watch YouTube videos wherein they mentioned the foods to eat and what are the foods that you need to avoid. Those advice were based on scientific explanation. I do hope that it will work.
Furthermore, I am avoiding foods that contain a lot of sugar. I also avoid drinks with flavor. Just water.
Week 1
I started working out on January 2, 2022. As expected, the first week was difficult and tough. My body is not used to exercise, I have lack of stamina and feel muscle pain immediately. In fact, I thought I cannot continue this goal because I always feel pain in my muscles the next day.
Also, I cannot control my eating habits. I still eat like a normal meal. You know, eating is one of the best things to do when you are stressed (in my opinion). Day by day, I realized that I need to have self-discipline.
Week 2
In the 2nd week of exercise, I feel that I have made progress. I still feel an abdominal sore but it is less than the first week. The time of my workout was 5 minutes per day, it was based on the mobile application that I am using.
The time is increasing each week. I think it was 6-7 minutes for the second week. Also, the plank time was already 35 seconds which is an additional 5 seconds from the first week.
Planking is one of the hardest exercises that I am doing, but I was really impressed last week to see my progress.
Week 3
In week 3, I decided to lessen my food intake every night. Unlike the first two weeks when I always ate a lot, I started to eat less so my body will learn to adjust.
Also, my body learned how to resist the pain from my muscles. It is like, it becomes my routine in the afternoon after class and doing household chores.
I couldn't feel any pain from my muscles at that time, think it was a sign of progress and I need to level up the exercise that I am doing.
Week 4
The last week of January was impressive. From 30 seconds to 1 minute plank. For me, it is already an achievement. Planking is really hard and a 1 minute is already fine. but I am still planning to increase the time of my plank to have better results.
Also, the time of my workout was already twice than before. From 5 minutes per session, I already do it for 10 minutes.
Conclusion
Working out is a great habit every day, you will be energetic and give you benefits. I like working out during the afternoon after doing personal and household stuff. Also, listening to the music while working out is relaxing.
The only problem that I have is we do not have a weighing scale to measure my weight. This is why I cannot tell the progress. But physically, I think somehow there is an improvement.
Hopefully, I can continue this habit for the whole year. I also added to my routine not to eat at night like fasting for the quick result.
