Talilong Talinum ( Philippine Spinach ) Last week I came from my father's garden to get fresh vegetables such as talbos ng chili, talbos ng saluyot and talbos ng kamote. I noticed that the talilong leaves are not growing well because the wild grasses are already tall there. It rains often so they grow fast. I pulled out some wild weeds to reduce those that steal nutrients from the planted vegetables. I cut the talilong branches and planted them in clean and sunny places. I also planted in empty containers and pots like the one in the picture. I put it on our terrace and after 1 week its leaves have grown quite a bit. This plant tastes good when mixed with ginisang monggo, they are a perfect match. Now I won't have any trouble getting talilong from garden, especially when it rains because I already have planted in the pot near our house.
