Let's talk about Publish0x's newest product / service: namely surveys. Some of my fellow Noisers who received the invite have already written about it: @Kamhus, @Duvinca. How it works? You get an invite from Publish0x and you can participate in all kinds of surveys. In return you get USDC. So far, so good. Is there a catch? If you love giving away your personal data - quite a lot actually, nope, there's no catch. I went through a couple of slides cause I wanted to understand how they set up the product aka who they partnered with in terms of "data contractor". Lo and behold, the second slide discloses that very information. It's Make Opinion GmbH, a German market research company. Here's their website: https://www.makeopinion.com/en/ So, on the first slide you're asked to enter your location - I mean it's picked based on your IP; no VPN allowed so that's that. The second slide is where the partnership with Make Opinion GmbH is revealed as well as the data they collect. See screenshot attached. Again, nothing wrong about participating in such "games" if you're aware of what goes on behind the scenes. I love to analyze how companies go about this from a business perspective. And nope, I'm not doing any surveys or offers. Slide number two revealed all the info I wanted.

Yes the rewards come from your data, that's true... I tried but not much because as I didn't qualified I gave up. The thing is that feature doesn't seem to match well in a platform like Publish0x in my opinion. We don't know what's their intention with those surveys there.
Well, it's a revenue stream for Pox on top of the ads they are running. Remains to be seen whether that was a smart move or not. Not everything that smells like money is a good investment 😉
That I was thinking... ads are being ok (well I don't know but it seems so, nothing has really change and they have more money) but this new strategy not so, maybe I'm wrong. We'll see if users like it.
In my case no offer was seen because of my location probably. But now i'm actually glad it didn't show :)
