The Tale of the Two Princes : Plight Thee my Troth │ Part 6

A week has passed. People have reverted to their duties in the kingdom of Alveria after Prince William's departure. Prince Nathan, on the other hand, is extremely preoccupied with managing everything in the castle. He's got a lot in his plate right now since his father is gone and his mother is unwell.

He went to the owlery to check whether the owl he dispatched to track Prince William had any news for him. He's quite concerned about his brother. He only wants to ensure that Prince William arrives safely in the Kingdom of Cyra. Then suddenly, an owl arrived, carrying a letter.

Greetings!

I am eternally grateful for your help and for rescuing our dear princess. We're extremely worried about her. We're relieved that she's now in good hands. I know this troubles you, but I have a request.

Could you kindly keep Princess Amelie safe until we arrive to take her home?

While we were on our way to your kingdom, the bandits blew up the bridge that connects our kingdom to yours. We'll take care of this situation first, then we'll go there as soon as possible.

Queen of Maldonia

Prince Nathan immediately dispatched some of his workers to help the Kingdom of Maldonia in repairing the bridge. He was immersed in thoughts while holding the ring box inside his pocket that he had been carrying since yesterday when someone hugged him from behind.

"My love, please don't move... You're too caught up with everything and don't have time to rest. Just stay with me for a little while. Even just for a while, my prince." Princess Amelie whispered.

Prince Nathan turned to the princess and hugged her. Princess Amelie's head rested on the prince's broad chest as he brushed her long shiny hair and softly kissed her on the forehead. It's so quiet and peaceful in the owlery, yet they started dancing gently to music that only the two of them can hear.

The princess raised her head and met her prince's gaze. Slowly, the prince glides his fingers into the princess's face, causing her to close her eyes. Finally, after so many trials and interruptions, they kissed. It was as light as a feather, and it was full of respect and love.

"You have no idea how happy you made me. You are my safe haven in every storm within me. Amelie, you're my home. Can I be your home too?" Prince Nathan asked. He took the thing from his pocket, knelt on his left knee like a medieval knight, and offered a sparkling diamond ring.

"Of course, Nathan, yes!" she said in a quavering voice.

They're on cloud nine as a result of the euphoria they're feeling. They shared embraces. Prince Nathan was so overjoyed that he carried the princess in his arms and kissed her once again. KirstenCassandra: Hindi pa ba tapos 'yang kiss na yan? Kanina pa yan 'eh! 🤦‍♀️ Ate mong bitter. Okay. Continue.

"~Nggwaaak!" KirstenCassandra: Owl 'yan. Tigilan n'yo ko. Di ko alam isulat yung sound ng barn owl. 'Wag kayong judger d'yan. Tuloy!

It was the owl that Prince Nathan sent to follow Prince William on his journey a week ago. It's carrying a handkerchief that only royals have, but it's smeared with blood. They let go of each other's arms as they should be. The prince examined the handkerchief, seeing that the blood was still fresh. Prince Nathan got extremely worried about his brother and prepared his horse and other necessities urgently.

"I'll go with you, Nathan" Princess Amelie said.

"You don't have to, my princess. I'll bring William home with me. Wait for me." Prince Nathan confidently said. He whipped his horse and left the castle.
