Takers
I hate the night, That's when they come. The takers they are called, They creep into my head, First they stay silent- I feel their eyes watching earnestly, My thoughts naked before them. Then the whispering start and my eyes are given to tears. As the lonely tears trickle down my cheeks, I'm reminded why they come- To steal my joy And leave me a shadow of my happy self. Tonight, the battle they won, But tomorrow, Tomorrow... Tomorrow... I'll win this war.

The takers... How about embracing them and give them something you don't like to keep anyway? This freewrite have something. Please, have a second look at the dots and commas. It will help to make this more readable.
Thank you wakeupkitty, I could easily embrace the takers, but then the subtle message I was trying to pass will then be defeated, that we all live to fight another day. Yes and for the punctuation I will take a look at that. Thank you once again.
