Tonight before leaving my works, my work mates complained about the promo offers which is done and posted by our boss with immediate executions right now and all through out the month of December. We are not against anything about the promo itself untill we found out that the total less amount from the services acquired by our costumers will be deducted to our commissions. For your information our commission in every services was 20%. Example I did a 1 hour massage service that cost 300 php is 300 x .20 equals to 60. So I just had 60 php as my commission to that specific service. Then now that our boss imposed a promo which lessen the price for the costumers in a package deal but lessen also our commissions instead of getting it from the original price, I think was not right anymore.
Promo package is good to gain more costumers to come and to avail but to deduct the supposed less amount to us employee was another issue. For example we did 3 services in one package of one hour massage, foot spa classic, and manicure pedicure standard and costed 499 in the promo but the original price was 600. How much is our lost because of the promo? Since our commission is just 20%.
My works mates mumbles their complains, one suggested for a face to face talking to tackle our concerns but the boss was not able to come. I know how hard to cope up with the messed the pandemic brought us, those little businesses affected especially our line of works as spa's/personal care. The owner is having a hard time too to get her target profit. They too stresses so much because of the sudden breakdown of their business income.
But atleast lady boss was not renting her place, we consume less electricity now since the weather is cold already, we know how to budget everything that we used to avoid throwing left overs. All we do is for our work sake to maintain the quality of it.
When we talk about promotions there is a tendency that the quality of service is not good anymore, we are running of time and to avoid that and to accommodate more clients we cut off some time from the usual length of time for each services. If you don't know, promotions to this kind of services if not fully polished is a mess. You can't follow a right time frame for each work because she mixes almost all services in one package. I don't know if the boss really think and check it correctly those included services in each packages. She didn't even bother to ask us in order to suggest something before implementing such promotions. We are the one to work for it so we know what is the best combinations just incase to avoid conflict of time, waiting clients and unnecessary withdrawals of walk in clients.
I don't know if they get to message her in our group chat. As for me I am a bit shy to open to our boss for now because I am just newly back to work yesterday and today. Maybe the best thing for me to do is to back up my colleague regarding their complaint in a nice manner. Hopefully everything will be settled in a nice way though.
Almost midnight, and I am still here waiting for hubby to pick me up. Met my fury friend too and brought her friends with her earlier. I gave them cat food which I took from Jheng but fury friend was not able to eat that much. I don't know if she's not feeling well since she is a bit thinner than the other one. After sitting sometime beside me she walked away to where they staying maybe.
