PERIWINKLE 💜💙 Blue is said to be a sad color because it is associated with tears, and thus with sadness. They say it creates negative emotions such as melancholy, sadness, timidity, and even depression. But my favorite color is associated with blue, and it is Periwinkle—a color between blue and violet or a pale purple, as mentioned in @alykavinsky's latest post. Thank you for such an informative post, Alybaba! I can't help but renoise it and post something about it because, even though I'm sick, seeing that color makes me happy. Hahaha! What makes Periwinkle my favorite color? Taylor Swift wore a periwinkle colored dress in her Our Song music video in 2006 (I was 11 years old at the time), and I've been in love with that color, as well as Taylor, ever since. 😉 Aside from that, there is another significant reason. This color provides me with a sense of calm, comfort, and serenity; it transports me to another world; a world away from my core. It has the feel of winter, with a cold breeze and cuddly weather. So I was pleasantly surprised a few days ago when Alybaba mentioned Periwinkle as the Color of the Year for 2022. I'm hoping that the coming year will be a joyous one for all of us.
