Today, I got into a new profession- being a fruit ninja. Lol! Corny~ Kroo, kroo! 😂 Anyway, kidding aside, I’d like to share with you all how to choose watermelons when you’re buying them from the supermarket. I picked quite a good one (See photo! It’s big, rightly ripe, and juicy~) the last time I bought and here are the criteria that I considered: First, you have to look for the sun spot. It’s a fairly big yellow spot on the watermelon and the significance of this is that it means the watermelon has had enough time to be sitting under the sun to grow and ripen and that it wasn’t plucked too early. Second, the watermelon has to be heavy for its size. You can check this by comparing you pick to the others of the same size. It should be either the same weight, or better yet, heavier. Third, if you knock on it, you should hear a hollow sound instead of a solid sound. If the sound is hollow, it means that the watermelon is filled with juice and that is exactly what you want. ☺️ These are some nice points to consider when choosing your watermelon. I hope it can help you pick good ones the next time you buy them! 💕 #Food
