This is the basil plant I’m trying to grow indoors. I think that by this time, I can harvest some and use them for supper. Any recipes you could recommend using basil leaves are very welcome! It’s a plus for me if I don’t have to use the blender (such as in a pesto). We’re kinda just using it exclusively for fruits. Lol! I was thinking of making Thai-style chicken and basil. This is no Thai basil, though. Just the regular one. One problem I’m having with growing basil is that there seems to be some tiny flying insects hovering over the leaves. Is that normal because they’re organic? Are they just attracted to the smell and won’t do the plant any harm? I’ve been watching if they’re munching on the leaves but I think they’re not. Is there any advice you’d have for me regarding this? I want to be the best plant parent I can be, even if I’m just a beginner. 😊
