How’s everyone spending their afternoon? We’re watching a series called “His Dark Materials”. I understand that it originated from a novel series before they made it into a TV series. We’re on episode 3 so far and I’ve got mixed feelings about it. I think the story is good, but there are a number of parts where I feel some dead air. It’s like the scene is just put in there as a filler to extend the running time of an episode. I get somewhat impatient. I’ve heard a lot of great things about the books so I’m still excited to read them but I’ve got to admit, for the TV series, I didn’t like it as much as I liked Shadow and Bone. I am keeping an open mind, though! I think I’ll give it a chance. I hope the episodes from here on out will show some promising improvements. Then again, this is just me. I’m sure we all have different ways of appreciating the series. Please, do let me know what you think about the series so I know if it’s worth continuing! 😊 #RandomThoughts
