This morning (really early) I approved a transaction on my Metamask Wallet which was very likely a phishing scam; I unknowingly approved a smart contract to use BUSD tokens in my wallet. In panic I asked in few places (noise: https://noise.cash/post/1620jq8v, telegram). Shortly after found a solution - a way to revoke that permission. TL;DR is https://app.unrekt.net/ - allows you to see all the smart contract allowances you've made in your wallet AND REVOKE any you want. Actually a very interesting thing happened: 1) https://mating.bugtoken.org/ This phishing link (you can check if you're curious, just don't click "confirm" on Metamask) deceives you into illusion that it's swapping some shitcoin that the 'project' just airdropped to you to another ($LBUG -> $BUG). (image-1) 2) Users check their wallet tokens to they really have $LBUG tokens. But in reality the above link prompts a transaction to approve usage of a BEP-20 token in your wallet totally unrelated to their own tokens. In my case it was the highest value in my wallet: 319 BUSD (image-2) 3) My first action was to immediately switch all BUSD into USDT which cost me about $2 before I got any answer. Later I found that unrekt app to revoke the BUSD allowance. (image-3) 4) After I got the funds to safety I decided to dig deeper. Clicked the link again. This time the code asked permission to use USDT in my wallet. Can you imagine? Smart scam, huh? :D (image-4) 5) With enough proof I contacted an admin of a Telegram airdrop channel and convinced him to warn users about this fake airdrop. He did it. Btw, the channel has 54k subs. So hopefully some who'd otherwise fall for the scam can get away from it now. Damn what a long story when I tried to make it as short as possible.. I think I should make an article on this :)
