This is funny. #Splinterlands Daily Quests difficulties and psychological approach to completing them; Two days ago my DQ was with a Death Summoner. I went and rented 5000 POWER worth of cards thinking they'd help me to "quickly" finish the DQ and also gain some rank. Result: Took couple of hours and so many matches that my capture rate was around %65 Then on Sunday I got the exact same DQ. Still had few hours on rented cards from the day before. But again it took me few hours and I barely made it to Bronze 2 briefly only to drop back to 350-400 range again. Today I got Sneak skill in DQ. I decided not to rent anything. It literally took me 5 minutes and 5 matches to complete it 😂 So I thought to myself. WHY?? The best answer I could come up with was that when I rented cards, I didn't necessarily need them all, I just rented thinking they're decent cards (including 2 legendaries). But I didn't have strategy. Another psychological aspect is that when I rented them I felt forced to use them even if it made a bad composition. Especially the Undead Archer card (2 mana; 2 HP) was sooo useless because I was hoping its "affliction" ability would be very effective against mostly used Death tank Haunted Spirit. But in average it was useful in 1 out of 10 matches because it's "a chance" type of ability. But today I went to fights with clear head, roughly 80% of my composition decision based on the matches' mana cost, and 20% based on opponents' last used compositions.

There are some days that I loose 10 battles in a row and often the reason is that I am stuck on the same cards for a quest. A good idea in such situation is to change the overall strategy. I often change from offensive to defensive strategy and suddenly I start winning.
